Hi everyone!
I'm heading to Disney World in about two weeks with one day during the trip for HS. Even though I've been to HS a bunch of times, I just realized I've never seen Fantasmic somehow?? But then I found out the new Christmas show is gonna be at about the same time (day I'm looking at only has one Fantasmic show)

Any advice on which I should decide to go to?

Thanks!

Fantasmic would be my choice if you've never seen it. It is a great show, and hopefully you could try and get it as a fourth FP.

How often do you visit WDW? Fantasmic I don't see going away anytime soon so it should be around your next trip. Jingle will be seasonal so it may not be playing the next trip (then you get into the fantasmic vs whatever is playing dilemma since it's usually a star wars fireworks show lately).

Jingle started tonight, find a youtube of it and see if it catches your fancy then decide when your there and know your mood.

We are at Disney now. I'm here with my DH and 11 year old twin boys.

On Saturday, we waited 2 hours to see the Star Wars Fireworks show from "the" spot. It was awsome and my boys, who do not like waiting, said it was worth the wait. Last night we went to Fantasmic!. It is one if mine and Dh's favorite shows in Disney. Both my boys said they would wait to see it again. They didn't remember ot from our 1st trip. I was planning on doing Jingle Bam too, but after the comments on here and looking at the youtube video, we are going to pass. For us, no way does it compare to Fantasmic!. It doesn't compare to the Star Wars fireworks either. We are now going to see Fantasmic! again before we leave.

I know eveyone has their own opinions, but wanted to give you my perspective in case it helps.

I agree - watched the video of Jingle Bam last nt., and was not overly excited by it - may be partially biased, as I am missing the Osbourne Lights:sad:which this does not hold a candle to IMHO(I know, apples to oranges, but still...). Also, it is mostly a projection show, and for me, did not compare to CtM on the castle(and hopefully the new one!) We see F! every trip, and it is for us one we want to watch again - great storyline and has a little bit of everything, no other show like it at Disney. If there is still a SW fireworks show next trip, we will probably do two nts. at HS to see both, since DD is a big SW fan right now, and the reviews have been good for the current ones. I would also check out the video to get a better idea - you might love the Jingle Bam, and as PP mentioned, could see it now for the holidays, and see F! next trip.

I kind of agree with this. If you'll be back, there's a good chance Fantasmic will be there. Whether Jingle comes back next year about this time is anyone's guess. I'd be inclined to see something that may not be back, even if it isn't quite as good.

(If it's not a particularly busy day, try walking over to Fantasmic after Jingle ends...you might get lucky and still get in)

I've actually visited a lot recently, but after this next trip I'm not really sure when the next time I'll visit will be.

I just checked youtube since you all suggested, and the show just... didn't click with me. I think I'll be going to Fantasmic.

Thanks again everyone!

Great choice! Fantasmic is one of my favorite shows. Don't sit too close or you may get wet!

We are going to be there the week Rouge One comes out.... very surprised that Disney isn't "celebrating" it's release at least one night with the Star Wars Fireworks. We saw them last January, and had hoped to see them again this trip.

I would definitely choose Fantasmic over Jingle Bam, especially if you've never seen F!

I was fairly underwhelmed by it, though there were some cool pieces to it (It's not my favorite thing to be released this year, but it's not my least favorite either). If you have an extra night, take the time for it - but not as a replacement for other offerings.

One thing is does really well is get you into the Christmas mood, where Fantasmic! gets you into a very 'Disney' mood.

wow, I did not realize that we'd have to choose one or the other, why 2 nighttime shows at the same time? what am I missing?

the best area to watch the projection show is very, very limited so Disney is trying to disperse the crowds

Thank you, still frustrating. I have seen F! but it is a great show I don't want to miss. However, going for holiday stuff so may have to let it go. I do not want to have to plan 2 nights @dhs.

Thanks for the insight
