I know that the parks tend to be more crowded during the day on an EE day, but I don't know whether this remains true late in the day. When considering going to Fantasmic at MGM, does the park tend to stay more crowded than usual all the way until closing time, or does it thin out earlier because so many people started their day earlier? Is it better to plan to see Fantasmic on a day when MGM is the EE park, or when a different park is the early entry park? Thanks in advance for your responses.

I'm pretty sure that by the end of the day the EE factor won't make a difference, as most people who get to the park early don't stay all day long, or for the show. If you can, it might help to be safe and get the Fantasmic Dinner Package thing. We did that, and we were garranteed a seat, no matter what. You just have to be willing to eat at the park for dinner and plan on staying there most of the evening. Hope this helped.

Thanks for the response, Captain. We may do the dinner package. If we don't, however, I was trying to figure out whether an EE or non-EE day would be better. I agree that most of the EE crowd will have left by the evening. If that's true, it may be even better to go to Fantasmic on an EE day because more people than usual would come early and leave before the show. For example, if someone is deciding between going to MGM in the morning or afternoon, they may be more likely to choose the morning on an EE day, thus making it less crowded than usual for Fantasmic. Has anyone had this experience, or does the EE day not make any difference for Fantasmic?

I think Fantasmic is busy on both days, but it may depend on what time of year you go. If you choose to do EE go early, leave and then come back. I would also highly recommend the Fantasmic Dinner Package. If you don't have that, you have to wait what seems like forever.

Y'all know what--I actually put some thought behind this about a month ago.

How about seeing Fantasmic on a night that MK has Fireworks or even Spectro? That should cut down some of the crowds, shouldn't it? 'Course then you wouldn't be seeing Spectro or the FW then....

We're doing the package deal on a non--EE day just in case :) There's just NO WAY my preschooler and kindergartener can take an hour plus wait...
