Fantasmic not showing Wednesday, May 4???

On the website, it lists Fantasmic showing at 8:30 on Wednesday, May 4. I couldn't get the Fantasmic dinner package for that day, so I made a ressie at H & V for dinner, and figured I'd go early to get a decent seat.
I called WDW yesterday to see if any dinner packages opened up for that day, and the CM told me Fantasmic wasn't even showing on May 4!!!
I was able to change my ressie to Tuesday May 3(which ends up working out better), but why isn't this information anywhere else??

Good question, all the CM information shows that Fantasmic is at 8:30pm on May 4th. Not sure if they have gotten a memo that has not circulated yet. That is the weekend of the Press event, so it is possible that something is going on and it has not been updated yet.

I have absolutely no info to share with you, just a thought: perhaps it's dark on that night in some sort of preparation for the 50th anniversary celebration that begins the next day. For example, I know that EPCOT will close early, 3:00 p.m. I think, on May 5.

I do know for a fact that there is a press party for the opening of Lights, Motors, Action! on Wednesday night May 4th at the Studios, starting at 5:45. Unlike the Epcot party on the 5th, it appears the Studios will remain open. But (just speculation here) maybe there is a press-only showing of Fantasmic that night.

That's the only related reason I can think of.
