Hi Everyone! DH and I are taking our DS (1 yr old) on his first Disney trip at the beginning of February. Fantasmic is one of our all time favorite night time shows at WDW, and would be willing to wait 2 hours ourselves to see it. I know now with the 2x/week that the wait is pretty long these days. We couldn't get any dinner package ressie, and have a ressie at Sci Fi @ 4pm. I originally thought we would head over to Fantasmic right after dinner... but now I'm second guessing myself with a 1 yr old. He's a good kid, and sits well for the most part with us during church for an hour... but still, he's one. Part of me thinks he would enjoy the people watching, but another part of me thinks I must be crazy to even consider it.
What would you do? Wait to see Fantasmic? Or tour the park instead?

We had to wait about an hour total, although I will say it felt like FOREVER. I don't know if it's the norm or not, but we were hearded like cows with a lot of other ppl. to certain stopping points along the route to the theatre. It was very very hot, smushed, and felt like a very long time to wait. The stroller folks have to stay to the right (to park the stroller once you get there.) If you do wait, definetley keep your kiddo in the stroller as long as possible (they'll get very heavy.) The show was great once we got there, and we did have great seats, but I don't know if I'd do it again with 2 kiddos and waiting for 2 hrs., like they state to do now. We made the decision that night that the next time we came if we were on the dining plan, we'd definetley do the reserved seating. We had thought about doing it this past trip, but I kept hearing how the seating wasn't that good...well at this point that's okay with me. Honestly I can't see how it can be that bad, and if I don't have to wait with all those smelly other ppl. for an hr. it's fine by me
I loved the show and we'll probably always see it in our future trips, but we'll probably always do the reserved seating. Good luck!
