Fantasmic - Mama Melrose Full 76 Days out!?

After stressing about the CRT ressie and getting it (yeh!) on the 2nd try, I only made a few more PS's the first week of my 90 day time clock. Tonight I made the remainder of my PS's for our week in October and was shocked to find that the all the reservations at MM for the Fantasmic package were gone!? I'm still 76 days out!!! Never thought I had to be concerned about that one, particularly because I have seen posters describing calling closer to their arrival dates for later dining times. Does this really sound right??? It's not a huge deal as I'm hoping that October will be a relatively slow time and the lines shouldn't be too bad for Fantasmic, but I was still surprised! Heads up to all that are interested in this package to not let it go too long like I did

It's probably because they only open the earliest times for the Fantasmic package until about 25-30 days out. Somewhere around 30 days or so you should be able to get in and a later time. When I called for late Sept, they were only opening spaces until 4:30 at 90 days out.

Hmmmm...... Just called today for reservations for Aug. 21 and got a 5:50 time at Mama Melrose's - and cancelled the 4:20 reservation I made Memorial Day weekend. At that time, 4:20 was the latest option available. Based on what I've read here plus my experience today, there seems to be a pattern of releasing additional (and often later) PS times closer to the actual date. I'd recommend calling back about a month before your date, and if hey still don't have anthing keep trying, maybe every couple of days. Of course, this assumes that the date you're interested in doesn't have some "special occasion" going on - could Halloween crowds be taking the PS's while you're there...??

Thanks for all the replies. This reservation was for the 10/15. I asked the CM if more dates would open in the future and he said that not unless someone cancels, as they can only sell a certain amount in each restaurant for the package. I'll keep trying and hope that maybe he was mistaken or that something opens up. He did say that there was availablity for the package at the other two restaurants though. It just caught me by surprise!

Oops, just wanted to clarify .. they did still have seating for MM for dinner and I could have made a PS, but just not received the package. We'll consider this, but honestly the reason MM sounded more attractive than some of the other great places to eat around the world was just because of the package.
