Fantasmic lunch or dinner ??

If you make reservations for lunch at the brown derby at 1:30 and it says 8:00pm fantasmic show - it means you get yout tix or the 8pm show after you eat dinner and then you just return to the theater around 7pm and get right in?? Sorry, if it seems obvious... clearly our first trip to Disney. Thanks!

I think you have the idea. The Fantasmic package includes the reservation for your TS meal, and then guaranteed seating at the show later that evening. I booked our package over the phone and the CM told me to arrive at the Fantasmic package entrance at least 20 minutes before the show. The people that booked the package sit in their own section but I've read on these boards that if there are still open seats in that section a few minutes before the show, they will let anyone fill those seats.

We just did a fantasmic lunch package last Thursday. During our meal, the server provided us with the ticket to the 9pm show. The tickets instructed us to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start, but our server recommended we get there at least 45 minutes beforehand. Thankfully he provided that great advice, as we had our pick in the roped off area. By 830, many of the good seats were gone, and by 845, people were scrambling to find seats for their whole party to sit. Many larger groups had to break up into 1 or 2 smaller groups. I think lunch is better since you're not rushing to try and finish your meal. We headed back to the Dolphin to relax after lunch, took the boat back around 6 to grab dinner and ride some rides for FPs we picked up earlier in the day, then headed to fantasmic.
