Fantasmic--Like it or not?

I like the water screens, and maybe some of the scenes with Mickey, but all in all not my favorite WDW attraction, though we do make a point to see it every trip.

I am just curious as to how people feel about Fantasmic. I saw it in May of last year and I wasn't all that thrilled with it. I think that it may be because our seats weren't that great, but I was wondering how other people felt. I am not sure whether or not I will go to it again.
LOVE IT!

I'm with others that have posted. Saw it for the first time in May 2000, and didn't go back to see it in '01 or '03. We plan to give it a try this time (mainly since we'll be there for so many nights), and see if our opinion has improved. It wasn't that I disliked it - it just didn't blow me away.

Now IllumiNations - I could watch all day! And I'm so excited to see Wishes for the first time!! 4 days - woo hoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe my expectations were too high, but we just weren't blown away. :confused3

We tried to see it on our first trip, but didn't know anything, arrived late & couldn't get in. On our second trip, we got in line early & made it in, but I was coming down with the flu  (didn't know it at the time), it was record heat for May - high 90's, and I kept getting sicker by the minute, so we had to leave before the show began. By the time we made our third trip, we desperately wanted to see it, :hyper: since so many people told us it was the best thing in Disney. So we got the package, had Great seats, the weather was pleasant but windy... Well, all 8 of us were incredibly disappointed. :( Some parts were pretty incredible, but a lot - especially Pocohontas - really dragged. But worst of all, the entire dragon segment was ommitted (due to wind). The 4 kids (cousins) were actually angry  They were, at the time 8 & 9 years old, and had been looking forward, through the whole trip, to see that dragon!!! It was featured on all the Disney info-mercials! Everyone agreed they never wanted to go back, but I've persuaded them to give it one more chance. :bitelip: We're usually an easy-to-please-group - we even enjoy old standbys like Carousel of Progress & Spaceship Earth, so maybe it was just the disappointment...

Our hands down favorite is Illuminations - all of us! The kids even loved it at age 6! With Spectro a close second.

A quick question for you Fantasmic experts...If you get the dinner package on a night that there are 2 shows, can you choose to attend the second show? If so, can you eat later, or must you still eat at a ridiculously early hour?

Thanks!

Jessica

I have seen it twice. The first time I thought it was awesome and waited in wall-to-wall people in line. The second time was last Christmas and we walked right into the arena. I didn't enjoy it as much then....don't know if I had high expectations for it. It was the first time for my husband and he said he wouldn't go back!
