Can you still enjoy Fantasmic if you don't arrive early? Everything I've seen on this is suggesting that you arrive an hour prior to the show. I really have no interest in waiting for an hour to get a decent seat. Not really interested in doing the Fantasmic dinner either. I don't mind if I dont get a perfect view, but if I arrive right around when it starts will I be able to still see? I'm going second week of May - if that matters crowd-wise.

If you are in the back or even standing you can still see fine. Its a BIG SHOW! The real problem is if you wait that late, you may not get in!
Have a wonderful trip!

I have never been, but EVERYTHING I hear is get there an hour and a half early. Even for the Fantasmic Dinner Package you have to get there 30 minutes early. I hear if you don't you won't get it at all. Just what I have heard! :confused3

I went to MGM on March 26 (spring break time). There were two Fantasmics that night - one at 7:30 and a second at, I think, 9:30. DD and I were on RnR at 7:10. We decided to go to Fantasmic, and if we got in, great, if not, we've seen it before. We gave away our remaining FPs for RnR, stood in line for a turkey leg and then went to Fantasmic. We started in at about 7:20 and got seated a couple minutes before it started. We were on the far side as you went in, but I thought the view was fine. We chose to sit near the back so it'd be easier to get out - we could have sat further up in that far section. Maybe I lucked out, but I don't like fantasmic enough to wait in line for an hour or more or book a dining package to see it.

i took a picture of the audience 5 minutes before the show started on the night we went during Spring break (it was sometime between March 26 and April 2nd, just don't remember when). By 5 minutes before the show started, the farthest area from the entrance (the far left side as you face the stage) was still about 1/3 empty. They didn't have anyone at all in the standing room only areas as far as we could see.

We did the exact same thing last year on Easter Sunday, just sort of wandered in, and we could see really well too.

I would never EVER get to Fantasmic an hour early. We've seen it in May and we just walk in 10 mins before it starts- sometimes we get a seat and sometimes we are in the "standing room only" section which is fine. I think the show is less than 15 mins so its not bad to stand for it- also when you stand you can scoot out quick at the end and don't have to wait in this huge mass of people.

We always go in 5 minutes before it starts! NO problem! No line! Can see EVERYTHING!
