Fantasmic! in the off-season

I had assumed that Fantasmic! was shown throughout the year, but only on weekends during the off-season. However, when I checked the thread showing historical information about entertainment/hours, etc., it looks like the show is not shown at all (not even weekends) during some weeks in late January and early February. Does anyone have experience with this being true? I am hoping to go in Jan. or Feb. 2016, but I definitely want my kids to be able to see F! for the first time. Thanks!

It might have been dark because of refurbishments. I know we have seen it in the past on weekends (and some Fridays) in both January and February.

It usually is down Jan/Feb each year for refurb but this past year was the exception as WOC went down. If I'm recalling correctly it's usually mid to late January so depending on when you go you may be okay

It will depend on if they do WoC Winter Dreams again this year. The reason WoC went down was to remove the overlay. No overlay means it could be either one.

WOC wasn't down to remove the overlay, they were refurbishing it and adding elements for the new 60th show. This is the second year they had done Winter WOC and it didn't not require the extensive down time to switch back the first year

It was still down for 10 days in 2014. That would encompass most people's vacation if they don't time it right. It probably won't need a refurb in January if there's no Winter Dreams running this year.

Right, and I responded that when it goes down may depend on which WoC is shown during the holidays. If it's not Winter Dreams there is not necessarily a reason for WoC to go down in January, making F! more likely to be down. If they run a holiday overlay on WoC is will likely go down to switch over, delaying any F! refurb. There is not enough consistency from past years to predict either possibility yet.

Then there's also the fact that with PTN they've added another night time show that could be offered if both WoC and F! have overlapping refurbs.

Okay, thank you...I think maybe I will try to book my trip for later in February, rather than the first week. I really want my kids to see F!, and it sounds like it is often down the first part of the month.
