Fantasmic in the Macy's Thanksgiving parade!

High school band from Oregon used the music from Fantasmic for their show music in front of the store. Holla!

We loved that! But I was a little confused because in the spiel they read about what they were performing they said it was a "Patriotic Medley" (or something similar to that). I love Disney but wouldn't have equated F! with Patriotic-- is this music originally from something else?

DH and I were in the kitchen cooking when we heard it come on. It was a high school from Grants Pass Oregon. We didn't get the "patriotic march" either . They did a decent job, but the horns needed to be much louder. The drum line over powered them at times.

I loved it! I just assumed NBC didn't want to credit Disney so they termed it "patriotic" instead. Funny.

Weird how I didn't even notice that - GP band was why I was watching! I did notice as they marched away they were playing "Hail to old Grants Pass our high school, best school in all the west...."

I noticed that right away too! Thought that was really cool! It was sort of like when they kept playing Epcot music when they cut to and from commercials during the last presidential inauguration on ABC. It's like an inside secret for us crazies who would recognize it!
