Fantasmic in Dec. w/EMH

We have booked a Fantasmic dinner package at Mama Melrose for Dec. 4 (first Monday in Dec.). Except, the dining time available is 3:30. We think that is really too early for dinner and we wanted to see the parade too. I was wondering whether on nights with EMH if Fantasmic is presented more than once. It only says 7:00 on the schedule right now but we would opt for the later show if that was available. Next, is it really necessary during this week to have the dining package in order to get a seat at all without waiting for an hour. DD4 will be with us and I don't have to be in the front, but I don't want to stand either.

What is the schedule for Fantasmic in December? I looked at in the usual places, but couldn't find it.

We were at Disney the same week in 2004 and will be there this year too. The last time we just walked in about 30 minutes early. We had no trouble getting a seat in the middle toward the top. The whole left side of the theater was still empty. Even at showtime, there were MANY empty seats. I have never been to Fantasmic on an EMH night, so I can't tell you what difference that will make. I'm sure it probably does have some impact on crowds, but I would think you will have no trouble getting a seat even if you are not there an hour ahead of time. We might be there the same night and I am not planning on getting there that early. 30 minutes is as early as I will go. If for some reason we don't get a seat, (which has never happened to us any time we have been there), we will just come back a different night. I keep our schedule pretty loose just for that reason. I read on another post that even the 2nd show on EMH night was packed. I don't remember if it was peak season or not.

The second showing of EMH is always a better option
