DON'T PANIC! The content has remained the same. None of that lousy Florida $%*& to be seen.
Some new lighting effects, or at least ones I did not notice in December, throughout. Most notably during the opening, the island is lit primarily in a gorgeous shade of purple and accented by projected stars, similar to the effect they used on the castle and small world.
That's minor tho, the big change comes later on. I'm still not sure how I feel about this... ready? The pyrotechnics during the Sorcerer Mickey finale have been completely redesigned. Not sure if this is temporary/try out, tonight was the first night back since it went dark in January, but it was jarring. At first I thought it was just misfiring, but no. There is noticeably less pyro. This is good and bad. The finale has always been too smokey. This version solves that, but in exchange, it felt a lot less 'explosive'. For example, the bursts that occur in between the streaming comet like pyro (which no longer stream at an angle across the river, which is just wrong) have been replaced by lighting effects from the towers. However, the ultimate 'what were you thinking, bring it back' moment comes at the end of the scene; that huge burst after 'Some imagination, huh? Ha-ha.' ... GONE!
I'm now making it a point to go back this weekend. I'll try to get some video. I'm very curious to hear reactions to this assuming it continues.
