Fantasmic FP+

I know this has been discussed a couple of times but I am still curious on this topic. Most say that FP+ is useless for Fantasmic. Why is that? I really don't want to have to use one of my TS credits for the dining package but we will also have DS(8), DD(6) & DD(4) in tow so I want to make the right decision. So what's up with the FP+ there???

There is a separate walkway for Fp+ and the tapstiles are near the stroller parking area. Fp+ guests sit in the sections to the left of the Dining Package area. All standby guests sit in the sections to the right of Dining.

If the amphitheater is crowded, standby guests may not get in. During Pres' Week, the standby section filled and remaining standby guests had to wait until 5 minutes before showtime before they were allowed to sit in the Fp+ area or stand in the SRO walkways.

If you don't have Fp+ nor Dining Package, plan to show up 45-60 minutes before Fant to sit in the standby section.

Thanks but lately most seem to say that having FP+ doesn't get you anything and you still have to show up 60 minutes before like everyone else. As for FP+, I'm not worried about "wasting" one on Fantasmic - I just want to make sure if I do "waste" one that it will actually get me a good seat!

I watched 3 Fants last month and with Fp+, you can get the Pocahontas section (next to Dining) by showing up 40 minutes before show time. The later you arrive, the farther left you will go. The Beast section (far left) isn't the best so, by arriving 30-40 minutes before Fant, you will be in a good section.
