Fantasmic Fix!

CANNOT seem to make the fantasmic dinner pkg come up on the wdw website to even try to make an adr-tried since they changed the calendar last week (want to see fantasmic on 6/27). so i have a question for anyone who can give me some experienced info (never been!)-am i trying too hard for something that isn't really even worth all of the effort? can i still see fantasmic and enjoy it without having the special reserved seating? not really feeling the idea of waiting hours till the show since we'll have little ones so i really need some help. thanks!

We did our first Fantasmic Dining Package a couple of weeks ago and let me say it is definitely worth it. The first time we saw Fantasmic, we did it without the dining package and we had to stand in that line for an hour and a half just to get good seats....after that we said never again. With the dining package, they say to get in line about half an hour before, but when we arrived at the entrance 15 minutes before show time, we walked right in and we still had great seats. An FYI, when I was calling to book the F package, right when the May hours came out, they didn't have it in the system yet. I had to call back every day for 2 weeks and they finally had the show in their system....so be patient and be persistent and you will get what you want .

I suggest calling, but since you are looking for next month I don't know if there'll be any availability. If there isn't, keep checking until your trip for any cancellations.

According to the calendar I just checked, there is no Fantasmic scheduled for 6/27. There is one on 6/26. Could this be your problem?

Also, how many in your party? Sometimes they'll only have a few tables left (these ADR's have been available for months now)

ETA just saw that they've added more Fantasmic shows. My bad. In that case I strongly recommend that you phone WDW dining in the morning and see if they can help you. It is totally worth the effort to get the package. And if you can get a lunch or dinner at Mama Melrose's, then all the better.

What about when there are 2 showings of fantasmic? Is it still worth it to pay for a fantasmic package for priority seating? If you can make the later seating, how does that compare? thanks!

If you can make the later showing, I'd say go for it. I believe dinner pkgs are only for the first showing, so that means there are actually more seats available for the later showing.
