Fantasmic dragon update???

Miceage.com has a little blurb at the top of the site right now stating that the "mechanics need to be re-engineered" and that the time table is being talked about in terms of weeks and not days. :sad2:

So my DH and I was there for Disneyland's birthday (Fri. 7/17/09) and there was no dragon. We actually spoke to 2 F! CM before the show to see if there was going to be a dragon and they stated that the dragon was not going to be appearing for the rest of the summer. :faint: They stated that it would take weeks for them to get the dragon back up and running!

Wow......sad news......you would think Disney would have tested the "mechanics" of the dragon prior to advertising it for Summer?? Dunno just my thinking......oh well ya get what ya get I suppose:goodvibes

Fantasmic! is an amazing show, with or without the dragon. Is the dragon great? Yes. Is Fantasmic incredible even without it? Absolutely! Don't sell the rest of the show short - it's a great show.

what happened to the old dragon ?
they should have brought it back in as `super -sub` :lmao:
while the new one gets sorted out ..maybe

unless the old one is somewhere in parts on Ebay ? :rolleyes1:eek:

I agree!

We recently saw it with someone who had never seen the show before, and after Fantasmic & the fireworks I turned to her and she was sitting there crying. She said that the DL Fantasmic is now her #1 favorite thing at all the Disney parks (wdw & dl). That was so good to hear. :)

If they were to put in the old one, then they'd have to assemble it by taking out the parts of the new dragon. I think that would make it even harder & take more time for the new dragon to make an appearance.

I just got back from Disneyland, saw Fantasmic twice and it's just not the same without the dragon. Saw it with some first timers, and it would have been so much better with the dragon.

I hope it comes back im going august 10th doubt ill see it glad i saw it back in march but my daughter feel asleep
