I booked the Fantasmic DP for December 9. I just looked at the menu for Brown Derby and nothing looks appetizing to me. Actually, Mama Melrose's and H&V's menus do nothing for me either. Since I'm going in December, do you think I really need to get the dinner package? Or do you think I could cancel it and still be able to get decent seats about 1/2 before the show?

I am not thrilled with the menus either. We are booked into Mama Melrose's on December 23rd. I read that we order off a special Fantasmic Dinner Menu. This doesn't sound good! I am afraid it will be something they cooked up a noon to feed the masses quickly and then ship us off to the show.

Oh No! Didn't hear anything about a special dinner package menu. I have done the package prior to pre-pay and we just ordered off of the regular menu. Guess I better make a phone call!

Hello

My family and I have done the fantasmic show 8 times in the last 5 years. Three of the times we have done the Fantasmic Dinner Package each time we have done the Hollywood and
Vine buffet. It is okay. We have always done this because it is easier to do buffets when you have small children with you. We of course are mainly doing it for the reserved seats. We will not be doing it for our trip this January 2003. The reason for this is because we have always ended up in the reserved Old Witch area (witch from Snow White) This is on the right side of the theatre if you are facing the water/stage area. These seats are not great. We have done better arriving 45 minutes to half and hour prior to the start of the show. This is what we will be doing in January. It is our personal preference. We would like to choose where to eat.

Last night I called and was able to get H&V instead of Brown Derby. Atleast this way, I have more of a selection with the buffet. :)

We did the Fantasmic DP at Mama Melrose's on 11/11. Ordered off the regular menu. Food was very good. Arrived 40 minutes prior to the show and were glad we had the reserved seats. Only the far end seats in general seating were left, but our seats, though far to the right, were excellent. We'd do the package again just to avoid the stress. Have a great time. Wish I could go back right away. (Unfortunately, life precludes a visit until at least late 2003) sigh.
