Fantasmic DP after 12/16?

I apologize if this question has already been asked. What are your thoughts on what WDW will do with the Fantasmic DP after the test ends on 12/16? I tried to make a DP seating for Jan. and was told that they had nothing in their system yet for that time. I thought the whole thing was confusing when we did the DP in Nov. We were told to pick up our vouchers at MGM guest relations. When we got there they told us just to show up at the restaurant. We were also told over the phone that the package had to be prepaid. We were charged at the restaurant. I expressed my feelings of confusion to our waiter. He told me that many people had been confused. Anyone else have a similar experience? I wonder what WDW will do next?
