Fantasmic Dinner Pkg same menu as reg menu?

We would like to do the Fantasmic Dinner Pkg but not sure if regular menu items are available. On Deb's site it looks like it may be a more limited menu. We would either chose from Mama Melrose or Brown Derby. Also, since we are going late Jan, do you think we even need to do the dinner pkg or should seats be available within a half an hour of show starting?

The menu is not limited; you can choose from the full menu. Both Mama Melrose and the Brown Derby are good restaurants, but our family prefers the BD. Even during slow times at WDW, Fantasmic will fill up. Note that even with the FDP, they ask you show up 1/2 hour before the show begins. We always use the FDP, so I can't give you a perspective on what your chances will be to show up a half hour before the show, without FDP, and still get a seat.
