A few questions about the fantasmic dinner packages. Does everyone stand in the reserved sections? How early do you have to arrive into those sections? Would a child have a hard time seeing over people in those sections??? Are strollers allowed in those sections? Thanks for your help!!

I was in the ranch del zocalo section 2 days ago. We were all seated on the ground, and the CM told us we had to stay seated during the show. Same for the other two sections.

If you want front row, you need to be there at least an hour early. Otherwise you can get there 5 minutes before and they will help you find something if needed. Note that front row may not be for you, since there is a fence there that partially obscures the view. Also note that front row has a chance to get wet, usually just spraying mist. I would suggest 30 to 45 minutes early. I got a seat right next to blue bayou section, with two families in front of me.

Since everyone is seated, a child shouldn’t have too much trouble, they could sit in your lap for a boost.

I don’t know about strollers, but I didn’t see any.

Strollers are not allowed in the dining package sections. People had to leave them them in another area. If you need to go out to get something from the stroller, be sure to ask the CM as you leave to give you a ticket so you can get back in to your section. When I was there, it was not over crowded, it seemed like all had a good view with everyone seated.

There is a very long thread about Fantasmic. Trip reports start around page 26. More recent summaries are on page 42. There is also a recent trip report in the July thread.

For Fantasmic, guests in the dining package area sit on the ground. Many bring blankets and leave them in the lockers on Main Street until just before the show. Guests in ECVs will be in the back row of the roped off area. Guests who want to stand, can stand in the back row next to the ECVs. Immediately after the first Fantasmic show, guests will be able to view fireworks with projections from the dining package area. Everyone is asked to stand and the area is opened for standby guests to enter.

There is a lot of discussion in the Fantasmic thread about what time you should arrive. For the 9 pm show, your ticket will tell you to meet at Harbour Galley between 8 pm and 8:45 pm. Seating is first come, first served. Guests are walked to their seating area around 7:45 pm. For the 10:30 pm show, guests are walked to their seating area around 10 pm.

I would not suggest pushing your arrival to as close to 5 minutes before the show starts. New Orleans Square gets very crowded, it is dark and they start to turn down the lights. The entrance/exit to Star Wars Galaxy Edge from New Orleans Square recently closed. There will be increased traffic from SWGE through Frontierland which will make it more difficult to get to Harbour Galley.

We did the River Belle (regular) Fantasmic package, *not* the premium dining, near the end of last month. Whatever time they told us to start lining up, we got to the line maybe 20 minutes before that, and were maybe 10th in line? Quite honestly, maybe even closer than that. Plenty of the people showed up at the allotted time, and they were only 2 or 3 people-rows back. We made sure to keep our group of 3 (grandpa, grandma and 7yo grandkid) in a small triangle-- kid right in front between hubs and I-- so that other kids could get up next to the railing as well with parents in close reach. Everyone in front sits. No strollers. As more people come, they (CMs) just kind of continually shove people to the front railing as more people come into the "holding cell," LOL. I assume the people in the back of the pen stand, but I have no idea because we have gotten there early each time.

Since we arrive early, we always make sure to have some sort of entertainment for the kids-- Heads Up on the phone, or a dry erase activity book, etc. But the 3 kids that we have taken were all enamored with just looking all around and all the hustle and bustle!

You have to sit...if you want to be up front, i'd say at least an hour or go to the edge of your section. We got there around 830 for Rancho Del Zoccalo section at the end of June and there were still seats available at the railing on the left edge of the section. We chose to sit towards the back and had plenty of room and my 3 and 5 year old say in our laps with no issues seeing the show. Most of the show is elevated above the seating sections, and the seating is on a slight incline so people in the back are sitting higher than people in the front. There was 1 stroller in our section and multiple cast members checked to make sure it had a stroller tag to be allowed in the section, otherwise they were making people go back out and park the stroller (if they made it past the CM at the top with it somehow).
