Would anyone suggest that I get the Fantasmic Dinner Package for the week before Christmas, or will it not be so crowded that I would need it? We are tring to make sure that we get a seat for Fantasmic. We have never seen the show. I am sure that durring the Summer the crowds are heavy and would suggest that I get it. I just am not sure about around Christmas. Thanks for anyy suggestion. :earsgirl:

December is a slow time. If there even is such a thing these days. But the closer to Christmas you get the bigger the crowds. I'd say to get the package, at least you know you'll get seats without a long wait.

Check the Unofficial Guide website www.touringplans.com to see how crowded the park will be and I would recommend the dining package for any crowd 5 and above if you are set on seeing the show.

If you are willing to wait and 1 1/2 then you will also see the show without buying the package which is expensive. The PS for the package is very early in the evening.

We really enjoyed the Fantasmic Dinner Package. We had been planning to eat at the Brown Derby anyway so we were able to eat an early dinner and go to a show and a ride before heading over to Fantasmic. The reserved seats are off to one side but we still had a great view. It was good to know we would have a seat without having to wait a long time.

we spent Thanksgiving Day and night at MGM last year and were also worried about the seating at Fantasmic that night. I knew that the prices for the Fantasmic Dinner PS were high.. and with 3 kids.. I just didnt want to pay it. BUT.. after looking around, I found out that the Hollywood & Vine Fantasmic PS Dinner was the same price as the regular dinner there!! I want to say 19.99/adult and less for the kids of course. Its a big buffet and although Im not a big dinner buffet person, everything was good and there were lots of choices. They even had a kids section with mac & cheese and chicken nuggets. We still had to be there 30 minutes before the show, but people were coming in WAY after us and there was lots of seating in the reserved seating still left. We got out of there fast too! I think we walked over to Osbourne lights after that!

I would say to get the package
even if you do not use the reserved seats you still had a nice meal at a bit of a discount :cool1:

Anyone know if you can use MYW Dining option for the Fantasmic Package?

I always plan on doing this package because I hate to wait in line, especially with 3 kids!!!!

We did the dinner package. We figured we would be eating a few big sit down meals for dinner anyway during the week so why not make this one of them. We also enjoyed the buffet at Hollywood and Vine.

I think you could go without the package, but it all depends also how close you are to Christmas.
