Fantasmic Dinner Package

I read on another thread a while back that people with the FDP have to enter Fantasmic through the main entrance, and not the back entrance by Oscars Garage which means you have to line up alot earlier, instead of getting there 30 min before show time... Is this true ....

Yes, there is no longer a separate entrance for the FDP people which means you have to be there at least 60 minutes in advance and some people are reporting that due to the reduced schedule of Fantasmic and the huge crowds for each show, it may be necessary to be there even earlier which makes the value of the FDP not very great, IMO.

When I talked to a CM today while making Fanstasmic reservations she told me that there is a seperate entrance for Fanstasmic passholders. I don't know if this is true or is she not giving accurate information.

DH and I were there last week and did the dining package. They sent us to the front entrance (we hadn't ever gone in that way before!). A little ways in, there is a turn-off for the dining package folks. The dining package seating was the same area in the arena. I think we got there about 45 mins early which is what we usually do. There was still a lot of reserved seating available. BTW, there were 2 shows that night and this was for the first one.

We are visiting WDW May 30th-June 7th and I was hoping to book the FDP at Mama Melrose. I would love some more advice and input abou the FDP, too... I want to make sure it is worth the time and money. Otherwise, we were going to do dinner at 50's Primetime....

One thing to note... we have done the dinner package a few times... once we arrived at their suggested time and ended up standing... and another time the skys opened up and it poored so fantasmic was cancelled and we were out of luck disney does not do rain checks
