We are trying the Fantasmic Dinner Package at Mamma Melrose. The latest dinner I could get was 5:00 PM and the show is not until 9:00 PM. Do you get an actual ticket you just show at the gate and when and where do you have to be back to get in to the show?

We did the package years ago at Hollywood and Vine but the show was immediately following our dinner, so we ran right over.

We also have the 5:00 at Mama Melrose for Fantasmic Package...which we usually do every year. Yes, you will be given a ticket and you will then go in the special entrance. So after dinner, you can go enjoy some attractions, do some shopping, etc.

We did the Fantasmic package at Hollywood Brown Derby in February. Loved the food there! Anyhow, they give you a validated ticket that you just bring to the side entrance before the show. We went about 1/2 before Fantasmic began and had fabulous seats! We're planning to do the package deal again when we go back to Disney.

We just did that last week at Mama Melrose's as part of the Fantasmic pkg! It was fantastic! We ate at 3:50 and worried we were too early, but we were able to really enjoy our meal and not feel rushed! I had the Vodke Penne Pasta - it was so good! Enjoy!

It's a great option IMO. You get the ticket and you can do pretty much whatever you want up til that time and not have to stand in line. A fantastic option!!

Moma Melrose has a great sangria!

What can you choose form the menu at Mama Melrose? Are there restrictions? All Ears says children can choose soup or salad, an entree, and dessert. Is that accurate?

Thanks a billion for this thread. I was wondering the same thing. I reserved the Fantasmic package with Hollywood and Vine. The latest dining we could get was 4:20. I was wondering how it worked for the show seating. Now I know. Thanks again.

I must disagree with some. You should NOT wait till just before the show to enter through the package entrance.

First, the walk via the special package entrance is LONG. You need time to walk it.

Second, even the waiter/waitress will tell you to enter the special entrance at least 30 minutes to 45 minutes before the show.

The special package seating area can and sometimes is opened up to the general public after 30 minutes if the stadium is SRO.

FYI...the package seats are to the FAR right.

In the off season, the package is not necessary, IMHO. So I'd rather eat where I want to and then enter at one hour before and get seats in the center, half way back. I have never ever encountered a line. The stadium is opened already at 1 1/2 hour before so your waiting is in your seat. In peak season, you may encounter a line if you want to line up really early to be sure to have a seat.

I've done the package many times (off season) for fear of a line or no seats and now I realizeit isn't necessary (in the off season).

I was just about to start a thread about the Fantasmic pkg but I didn't want to clutter the forum, so thanks for starting this thread!

My husband is a picky eater and Italian food is the one thing we can usually agree on, so I am leaning towards the pkg at Mama Melrose's. My question is this though, is it a good value or is the package overpriced? The guide books say its like $35/pp for adults and includes appy, entree, dessert and N/A drink, is that more money than you'd pay normally or are you making out like a bandit?
