Hello all. Is the Fantasmic Dinner package similiar to the Disneyland Fantasmic Dessert Buffet? For the Disneyland package you get very good seats pretty much right in the center of the show. We are going on our first trip to WDW next July and really want some good seats for Fantasmic. Any info is GREATLY appreciated!

Thanks!

You get okay seats off to the side. BUT, you don't have to wait in line for an hour....

You may be disappointed with where the seats are located. They are on the far right section of the theater... they aren't bad seats by any means but they are not in the center.

the other difference I"m sure you know is that the dinner package is a full dinner, not just dessert. After you have your dinner you are given passes that allow you access via a "backstage" route (that is much farther than the normal entrance) into the theater... It was great in that I got there 30 minutes before the show instead of the normal 1.5 - 2 hours... but the seating could have been better IMO :thumbsup2

Thanks for the replies! Looks like I'm better off getting there early if I want center seats!

We went to H&V (food was great) and then went to the show 3o minutes before. It was a short walk but it beat standing in the long queue. We have 2 boys 8 and 6 and they were fine with the walk. We had front row seats and an excellent view. We benefited from the dinner package.

Can you make a request for your seats or is it on a first come basis? Also will they allow a tripod for picture taking?

It's on a first come, first served basis within the portion set aside for dinner package guests.

The only problem with a tripod would come from blocking off the people behind you by standing. Most folks sat through the whole show (probably because their feet hurt ;) ). If you sat a few members of your group in the row in front of you (so they could keep a space for the camera open between them) and you kept the tripod at the same height as your head, it would probably work ok.
