Fantasmic Dinner Package

Hi Everyone!

My DH and I will be doing to Disney pretty soon. We are going going to try doing the Dining Package because it sounds like a great deal to us. Currently we have ressies for this dinner package at the Brown Derby. What are your thoughts on this?? Is it worth the money? Should we cancel and just use our credits at another restaurant? Please let me know you opinions/suggestions! Thanks so much!

The Brown Derby is great, but not worth 2 credits, especially if you are doing the Fantasmic package. I'd pay for it OOP and save the credits for another meal.

We are facing a similar decision. We booked a Fantasmic Dining package at the BD and a few weeks later the rest of our party decided to split of and book it at Hollywood and Vine. Now I am trying to decide if it is worth it and I am almost 100% sure that it isn't. Sadly they are completely booked where the rest of our party is going so I just keep calling.

Our family all wanted to dine together so we decided to go to Hollywood & Vine. Their food is pretty good and there is a big variety, sure to please each person in our group (of 9!)

Though me and my family love the Brown Derby, we do not believe it is worth the two credits on the DDP. However, I would definitely keep the ADR until I could find another option, such as another MGM TS restaurant with a FDP slot open for that day and time. Sometimes, everything just works out for the best. Hope that helps!

I would just make sure you got the Fantasmic Dinner package, its the only way to go.

We liked the BD for dinner. It was very nice to be in an "adult" type setting for dinner. We also thing the Fantasmic package is the only way to go. This year we are doing Hollywood and Vine, just to see how their food is.

My DW and I are booked at the Brown Derby with the Fantasmic Package and we're on DDP. However, I'm paying cash for the package and saving my 2 TS credits for other venues.

We have Mama Melrose w/Fantasmic Package. I have thought several times about cancelling it because several posters have said that they have done it and didn't see the need, but now I think I will keep it!

I have done both BD and H&V with the Fantasmic Dinner Package. Both places were excellent food and service wise. I don't, however, think I would go to the BD again because it was, IMHO, overpriced.
Example: the photo below is of their Flourless Chocolate Cake dessert (8 bucks) -- the piece of cake is about an inch and a half thick and maybe 2 inches long or so -- about 3 bites. Granted, it was awesome tasting but not worth 8 dollars.
