Fantasmic Dinner Package - worth it?

We have ADR at Mama Melrose at 4:00 pm for a Fantasmic dinner package. The show doesnt start until 8:00 so what do we do once we are finished eating? Do we get reserved seats in good spots for the show? They take 2 dinner credits so im debating whether its worth it or not. Forgive me, its our first trip and will most likely be the only as we never have extra money for vacations - its my first in my life!! So we're trying to make the most of it

Ive never done the Fantasmic package but weve booked it for August.

Just a bit of info for you-
The Fanstamic package is only I DDP credit at mama melrose.
you get an appetiser extra-included in your 1 credit.
The restaurant is at the other end of the park. you eat your meal and are then get a ticket from your server for entry to the Fantasmic stadium.
This will save you lots of queuing time.
you can spend the rest of the time going on rides etc until its time for Fantasmic. I think you still have to go a while before it starts,about 45mins I think.
I believe that there is a section they sit you in when you enter-although ive heard others say youre free to move around.

You're going to Mama Melrose which is 1 credit, even as a package. If you choose Brown Derby, that's 2 credits per person.

Thats ok, many others have thought the same.

I think they say you need to be at Fantasmic about 45 mins before-Im sure someone will confirm this. usually the 'normal' queue is about 2hours, I have Q'd for 3 hours before. Ive heard some just get the package for the extra appetiser

Most definitely worth it!! We did the Fantasmic! package at Mama Melrose's this past August. 1 appetizer; 1 entree; 1 non-alcoholic drink; and 1 dessert are included. Yummy, yummy, yummy. Don't push it too hard on your entry time to Fantasmic! - we got in line about 45 minutes before showtime and got excellent seats and then just relaxed and grabbed some frozen lemonade. I've heard that they open up the reserved seating area to everyone shortly before the show starts.

We had the fantasmic package and showed up pretty much at the last minute when we went two years ago......maybe 15 minutes before the show and had no trouble.
