Just looked at the prices:

Hollywood Brown Derby at $50.05 for ages 10 and up, $12.77 for ages 3-9
Mama Melrose at $35.14 for ages 10 and up, $12.77 for ages 3-9
Hollywood & Vine at $33.04 for ages 10 and up, $17.03 for ages 3-9

Is this correct? H&V Kids price are more than MM Kids price.

Prices have gone way up since I last did this package w/o the DDP. Is it worth it?

Now that Fasntasmic is only a few nights a week, is the this package necessary to get it? We going in late Aug.

For what is worth...last year was the first time I was unable to get the Fantasmic Dinner Package.(due to the 90 day ADR window and the INTENSE competition for ADR's) We stood in a line that stretched all the way down Hollywood Blvd. for 1 hour prior to the rope drop to get into the staduim. When we finally got in, we were in the LAST section to the left facing the show. Every other time with the dinner package, we leisurely walked up to the stadium at the designated time.:rolleyes1 So I guess the question is...are you willing to stand in line for that long? :confused3 I managed to get the package this year!!!party::yay::woohoo::banana

Last time, we had the Dinner Package we still had to wait. Think waited 1 hour and the we were still in the back (but within the dinner pkg section). Don't remember if the other section had the same wait time. Since we were on the Dinner Pkg, we didn't realize that prizes has really gone up. Especially for H&V. And still wondering is that the correct prize for Kid's H&V.

This yr we are on very tight budget. We make yearly trips that varying in range from 3 days to 8 days. Last year was only 3 days due to money and this year, well, money is a issue again.

Last year, w/o DDP we could not get into the first show but was to see the second show. This year, ther's only one show that night.

We have seen the show and like it BUT the price does seem high for a family of 5. Ther's other areas, I think of surging in (maybe a Character Meal). Just wondering if I should do w/ the Fantasmic Dinner Package.

Wondering on other people's recent experiences.

I haven't been able to find any prices for the package. We are going in Aug and I think it might be a great idea to do the food, we are off site and therefore self catering, so anything that helps with the cooking great !!!!!

I'd love to hear anyone elses thought and prices:goodvibes

The prices for the package aren't much different (if any) than if you were just eating a meal at these places and paying OOP.

FYI, if the information is correct, Allearsnet shows:

As of June 2009, you may order from the Brown Derby a la carte menu.

Mama Melrose $32.99 adult/$11.99 child (3-9) not including admission, tax, and gratuity -- Dinner package is price fixe: appetizer, dinner, dessert and non-alcoholic beverage.

Hollywood & Vine $26.99 adult/$13.99 child (3-9) not including admission, tax, and gratuity (no characters). All you care to eat buffet. Choose from a number of selections including; oven-roasted Prime Rib, Citrus Baked Chicken, Pan-seared Salmon, and Stir-Fry Noodles with Sesame. Also includes fresh salads and build your own ice cream/dessert bar. Adult beverages NOT included. Child's meal includes beverage

We did the Fantasmic Package at the Hollywood Brown Derby, and the price was in the $30 something range. The food was awesome and as others have said, well worth it for the ability to bypass the crowds. (Sorry you had a bad experience with waiting for yours.) I thought the $30 something price range was reasonable for what we got. Just fyi....

Depending on when you are going I would still do it. If you are going during a peak crowd time it's almost necessary or you may end up in the standing room section like we did. I'd skip H&V though and do MM. H&V wasn't that great IMO. I know you said you still have to wait but at least you were seated. There's not a bad "seat" in the Fantasmic amphitheater so I would be happy with any seat. There are, however, bad standing views.

Can anyone clarify what you can eat at Mama Melrose's? Can you order anything you want, or do they have items to choose from? Can you make an ADR for lunch too, or just dinner?

My family did this and we went to MM. I was surprised to see that we still had to stand in the regular line at the show and did not get the "reserved spot" until you get to the front turnstiles. At that point we could either sit and their spot which was off to the right but we were lucky to get a spot in the very middle that was excellent. So in my case a waste but if it is REALLY busy that day it might be your only choice to see the show.

hmmm, thanks for the heads up. I was under the assumption that you had a special line and bypassed the crowds....we'll be there during Easter week, so I guess it still might be a good idea to have it, just in case. How was the food at MM? Could you pick anything to eat?
