Hi all,
I'm wondering if I can get in to see Fantasmic without the dinner package. We are planning on going to the "World" Nov27-Dec3. We were planning on going to MGM Dec 2 or Nov 30. Planning on getting there about 30-45 mintues before the show starts. I have to double check to see if MVMCP is on that night and maybe change it to a night that is having MVMCP or not having MVMCP as people who don't want to go to MVMCP plan on being somewhere else. Do ya'll think I could away with not doing the dining package in the off season. We did the dining package at H&V last time and I really didn't care for it and I don't see anything on the other 2 menus that would suit us. We are a family of four me, dh, DS(7), DD (2). So what do you pros think. Could we risk it? Which day would be better?? MVMCP is on Dec 2 but not on Nov 30.

Thanks in advance.
Tina

That time of year there is only one Fantasmic. Even though this is traditionally a slower time of year, Fantasmic is usually full.

If you don't mind waiting in line to get a seat then you won't need the dinner package. When we went last year (Dec-5-11) we had the package and was glad to have it. Fantasmic was sooo packed.

We were able to get seats at the center side of the reserved seating and had a good view of the show.

Just a big heads up, my dh is going to a conference that time and we are tagging along and on Nov. 30th his conference website lists a big MGM party from like 7:30-11 pm. I have never been to a conference with him and its new this year in orlando, usually in vegas, but there are like 10,000 expected to be there and I am guessing this may be a private event just for the conference people, so I dont know if the park will even be open late that night for regular guests, but maybe it will. I havent had dh contact the conference people and I dont know if disney will comment on this themselves yet since the regular nov. hours arent released. I am still trying to make my own plan myself for that week.

Personally, we did the Fantasmic! Dinner package last trip, and to me it wasn't worth it. The seats were not that great, their off to the sides. Next trip, just gonna do a light dinner and go early and get the seats I want. Your not missing anything.Have a great trip!

I'm not bothering - my BF wouldn't eat anything on the menu's (I'm having to plan where we eat around what he will actually eat - thank goodness for the menu's on allearsnet.com!).

I'm thinking we'll HAVE to do a CP package though.. I'm going through the various menu's for that right now, as it happens.

Also, my parents didn't do the package when I was younger and I can't really remember waiting all that long.

We've had great luck with the Fant. Dinner Pack, But we enjoy Hollywood and Vine for dinner (or a really late lunch at 4:30). We've pushed it to the very last minute to get in by Oscar's Garage and have been lucky to get great seats in the reserved area. The seats aren't front and center, but we've always been ok with them. We went ealy one year and stood oin line/waited 2 hrs. early and I'll never so that again--a waste of time in my book. We also had crummy seats that year, too. So we'll keep making our dinner package ressies and stroll in when it suits us. Good luck in your decision.
