Fantasmic dinner package on dining plan for 10$ xtra?

Is this true?????PLEASE say it is, I would love to book this and use it as part of my dining plan for an extra 10$$$

I've read this on another thread, has anyone done this?

I don't think the Fantasmic package costs more, I think it's the same as regular price. I have one booked for Hollywood & Vine, and she gave me the same prices for the Fastasmic package as the reg price.

What the OP, is referring to, is can you book the fantasmicpackage, with the my way dining, for the $10 extra.

I have read this too, but have no confirmation. If so, I would like to change my res. to Mama Melrose. We currently have BD, since we were going to have to pay out of pocket.

Has anyone been successful at this. I made our PS for our trip in June about a week ago and was told it wasn't policy but with all of the changes with the plan I would love to see if they are making exceptions here. I don't see why if H&V and Mama Melrose take the plan why I can't add the package to it, they took the vouchers for Cinderella's Royal Table just fine. . .hoping hoping hoping.

I went to the employee website and couldn't find any information about the $10 fee on it. It just said the package was a prepaid meal and it had to be canceled within 48 hours or there was a penalty.

Actually I was NOT able to at Mama Melroses. Then again that was 3 weeks ago so who knows but at the time I was using the package they wouldn't allow it. I think Keishadow said she was told she could.

Wow, this was my suggestion when I cancelled my dining package in January and the lady told me she was taking it to the board as she hadn't noticed it and noone had said anything, but she saw my point. hmm....

I had the Fantasmic Package booked @ Hollywood & Vine on 2/17, with the "regular" credit card guarantee.

When WDW decided to change everything around in January, I switched over to the MYW Dining Package. I tried to get the reservationist at WDW Dining to accept the package for the pre-existing Fantasmic Package, but she refused and told me I would have to book another Sit-Down meal in order to use all of my "credits".

When we were finished eating @ H&V, and was presented with the bill, I handed the CM my resort card. She asked if I was using the Dining Plan. I replied that I'd love to, but was told by Dining Reservations that I could not.
She said we absolutely could use the plan with a $10 upgrade, we agreed and we quite pleased with how things turned out.

Hope this helps. Perhaps you need to book package first with credit card guarantee and then switch it over (or maybe we just got lucky)?

I booked the MM FDP for July in January. They took a credit card guarantee, but no $10 surcharge, just told me it was 1 ts credit. Hopefully they won't change it now.

Is this something new? In 2006, we used our MYW dining TS credits for our Fantasmic Dinner Package at Mama Melrose w/ no problem.

W/ the dining plan changes, have they changed the way the FDPs work? When I booked our FDP package in December at Mama Melrose for our upcoming June trip, the CM didn't say we couldn't use our dining plan credits. Of course, I booked our ADRs in December before the new 2008 dining plan went into effect...

(I did still have to book the FDP w/ a credit card, though.)

So, now, you can't use your dining plan credits for a FDP? But you can w/ a $10 surcharge? Which is fine - especially if that gets us the full FDP package (appetizer included) instead of just entrees and desserts. When we were there in 2006, our FDP at Mama Melrose included a flatbread appetizer, family-style salad, entree, dessert, and beverages. I had already determined that, w/ the new 2008 dining plan, we probably wouldn't be getting the appetizer & salad this time.

Same here. I booked 2/12 and was told 1 TS but had to reserve w/a CC.

First was this a flat $10 or $10 per person?

Second, could someone clearly state the "new" or newly understood policy? We had a Fantasmic Dinner package at H&V in Sept and it was the same 1TS credit as any other meal. There were no upcharges added to our bill.
