Hi!

I'm just wondering with the fantasmic dinner package, is there a set menu you can order a "bundle" meal from at mamma melrose? Or do you just order off of the regular menu? I know some restaurants have a flat rate, then you choose from like one of 3 appetizers, one of 3 entrees, etc..

TIA!!

The Fantasmic package at Mama Melrose includes an appetizer, entree and dessert. It's not a set menu; you just pick them off the regular menu.

It's a good deal for that reason if you're on the DDP because most TS gives you only an entree and dessert. Be forewarned, though, that it's hard to get. Set your alarm to call at 7:00 a.m. on your 90 day mark.

JerseyJanice is correct for a set price you get those three things. At the Brown Derby, you get the same deal at a much higher price. You can also do the Hollywood & Vine which strangely charges you the same amount for the buffet whether of not you are doing the Fantasmic thing. However, the food is mediocre

Oooh that's good to know. So how come there's a fixed price surely everything is priced differently, perhaps I'm missing something? :confused3

Because it all averages out in the end...there will always be people who order the less expensive items because that's what they prefer to eat. And if you look at the menu, it would be possible to eat a good meal for less than the cost of the package...the package is priced to cover some of the more expensive items on the menu.

I have seen reports that all of the appetizers on the menu now are "for 2" so you choose one appetizer for every 2 people on the package. Last September, it was one appetizer per person and let me tell you that was WAY too much food, so I wouldn't be surprised if they've changed it to this way.

It will balance itself out pretty much. Taking my set up for example. We are doing the FDP at MM in May. I am a veggie so my meal will be a bit less than the set price but DH who loves his meat will probably eat a few dollars more food.

We are doing it so we get to see Fantasmic and then we plan to avoid DHS on Fantasmic nights in August as its just going to be packed out on those days.:scared:

How would this work out for solo diners?

I had a CM on the dining line tell me that we were not entitled to the appetizer, since we were on the DDP.

So I'm not counting on it, but if we happen to get it, it will be a pleasant surprise.

Has anyone on DDP and doing FDP gotten the free appetizer? :flower3:

The appetizer has always been included with the FDP when on the DDP up until now so I expect it to still be the case when we dine there in May. Its also the case when you book the Candlelight Processional Package.

Its a nice little extra so hopefully they won't take it away.:thumbsup2
