Fantasmic Dinner Package Changes

I have to agree, there is not anything that special about this deal; there are plenty of seats. The price for the package has gone up and the menu limited, except for Hollywood and Vine. We love WDW but this isn't the best deal any more.:(

When you call to book the Fantasmic Dinner Pkg, do they require a credit card or do you just book it like the other restaurants with PS?

You do have to use your credit card to book this. I just got back from Disney this morning and did the Fantasmic Pkg. They don't actually charge your card, you pay for your meal when you're there but they take the card # in case you cancel your priority seating at the last minute.

As far as I know, Disney may charge you if you con't cancel and then don't show up. There may also be a time limit to cancel, such as 24 hours before your scheduled time.

I'm sure they'll be glad to let you know when you make the rezzies. Remember, if you get a real early time, you can always call back with 30 days and shorter until you get a later time. Just make sure you let Disney know that you do have an earlier time, so they can cancel that. Have a good trip!

Thanks for the information. Do they charge your card if you cancel?::MinnieMo
Just made PS for this ... the cancellation must be made 48 hrs prior. HTH! :)

I'm sorry if this has already been answered on here, I don't have time to read all the posts. Does anyone know the times for Fantasmic in November? I made PS today, but the CM couldn't tell me what time the show starts so I made my PS for 4:20. I didn't know if this was too early, but it's the latest time they had.

I don't know that the November times are available yet. I can tell you that, for now, 4:20 is about the latest time you CAN get! Wait until just inside 30 days of your trip. By then the show times will be known and later dinner PS times will be available! We did the FDP last month at Hollywood & Vine and the whole experience was definitely worth it!!

Does anyone have the LATEST prices and specific info on seating for the Fantasmic Dining Package?

I have to admit, it sounds tempting. I'm not worried about my two DS's (ages 8 and 5) or my DH having to wait the time you normally do for Fantasmic. I'm worried about my DH's Dad! We're going with my DH's folks and his Dad does NOT like waiting for much of anything. So, this might be the only way we get him into Fantasmic. So, if anyone can give the latest info on the package, I'd appreciate it.

Unless it's changed, there is no additional charge for the Fantasmic package. You do have to make rezzies at one of three restaurants, either Hollywood & Vine (buffet with a variety of food choices and kid-friendly), Mama Melrose's (pricier & order off the menu), or Brown Derby (priciest but excellent food & order one entree & dessert off the menu). At all three, non-alcoholic drinks are included in the price.

When you call and you get an earlier time than what you want, take it anyhow, and then approx. 30 days from your scheduled arrival, call back and get a later time.

Disney will hold your credit card # until you get there and then charge the card at that time.

If you decide to cancel for any reason, do so before 48 hrs. of that rezzie.

Fantasmic package gets you into the show with no waiting in line. Just about all seats in the reserved section are good except the very end. Try to allow approx. 45 minutes before the show, and although you will be waiting, you will be sitting.

Have a great trip & enjoy the magic!

We have the package for our trip this September with the Brown Derby.
Is There a place where I can see a menu?

And what's not going to be available to us on it?

Also is the tip included in the package price or is it addtional?

Made ressies for Fantasmic Pkg @ Hollywood & Vine today for mid August . Quoted prices 21.99 over 12 & 9.99 ages 3-11 plus tax & gratuity. I was told there is a child's buffet. ( We are trying here on the recommendation of people we know. )I had to give my credit card to book it and was told if I need to cancel it has to be 48hrs before otherwise there is a $10 cancellation fee per person. Hope this info is helpful to anyone who needs info on the cancellation policy for the pkg.

i made mine for oct 29 and got 4:10. i dont think you can get anything later than 430 because mgm wont be open later than 7:30 that time of year so that sounds right to me

Are the reserve seating for Fantasmic still on the left side? My experience this wasn't a good seat. The middle was much better.

If you are standing at the top looking toward the stage area Fantasmic reserved seating is the last two sections on the right hand side.

Around the middle of September, check Disney's on-line calendar and they should have the times for the Fantasmic Show and park closings for October and November. I think the studios close at 8:00 or 9:00 in the off-season. Either way, the show usually starts when the park closes.

Call and get later times (around 30 days from the start of your trip) if you want them. 5:30 or 6:00 should give you plenty of time.

Mom_Rules has the correct reserved seating sections (first two from the right). Remember, you can get good seats if you go a little higher. Most visitors tend to fill the lower sections first.

Have a good trip!

We just booked the Fantasmic package today for our early November honeymoon (before the hurricane-related shutdown) and neither our travel agent or the Disney CM knew anything about this change. We were able to guarantee with a credit card (like last year) and we will be using our magical wishes. Could the Silver Plan add-on make a difference?

We ate at the Derby last year and were very pleased with the food, the service AND the seats at Fantasmic! It's worth booking the package so you can avoid the long line.
