Fantasmic Dinner Package Changes

I was only able to book for beginning of May on April 7th. When I called there were lots of time slots available. Seems like they are only doing PS one month or so in advance.

Hello from another Madison County person who is waiting to make ps for June. I keep thinking they will post June hours and let us make Fantasmic dinner ressies any day now.

Hey powellrj - It's great to hear from a someone so close! It's pretty crazy how there are (almost) millions of people on the Boards & we live in the same County - 1000+ miles away from WDW! Not to mention we are going to the World almost the same time! (We have a 2 day jump on you!)

I called again today (4-30-03) and still no word on packages yet!

I have just called and got a PS for FDP at Hollywood & Vine, 6/25, party of 5. Its filling up fast as 5.30 was the only available seating.

Allie.:D

Allie5, Thank you for posting - I just called again and got 6:30, party of 3 at the Brown Derby on June 26th!!! We'll be there the same time - I'll have a lime green ribbon on my backpack maybe we'll run into each other! Enjoy your trip! :D

I just wanted to say thanks to allie5 again! I was able to get my package booked tonight also! I had called this morning (9:45 am Indiana time) and was told that they were still unavailable!

We got PS for the FDP at Mama Melrose's for a party of 7 on June 8th - 4:50 was the latest they had available for a party of 7, so I guess they do fill up pretty quickly! (Hollywood & Vine and the Brown Derby were the only other choices for the FDPs available right now for June)

Here are a few questions that I hope some1 can answer :)

What time does Fantasmic start?
How far in advance can a PS be made?
Is this FDP still available in late July, early August?

Thank You in advance!! :Pinkbounc

We are going in May and Fantasmic is at 9pm, you can check the schedule for when you are going, I think during the busy times they have 2 shows. They seem to be taking reservation the first week of the month for the next month. I made our reservation 60 days prior, and then when the FDP became available I just switched my reservation to the package. Since the response has been so good I would think they will continue to have the FDP.

Thanks for posting...I have been waiting for June to book and was able to get Hollywood and Vine on June 9 at 5:30!!! Now if June would just hurry!!!

We booked the Brown Derby for the Fantasmic Package and we had an EXCELLENT meal! The service was superb, the food was first class, we had a booth along the wall which was perfect. It was second only to the meal at CRT that week. Truly enjoyable. Of course a thundershower came along and Fantasmic was cancelled.

As we walked home in the rain I called WDW dining on my cell phone and booked the package for the very next evening but the Brown Derby was booked and I had a choice between Mama Melrose's at 4pm or HV at 5:20 so I took HV.

HV was such a disappointment. One step above cafeteria quality food. It's saving grace was the price was almost half of what we paid at BD.

The seats at Fantasmic were worth the effort. Since we usually eat a sit down dinner anyway, it was perfect. But you are warned to arrive at least 1/2 hour before showtime and to get good seats at least an hour. They fill the package seats 1/2 hr before showtime so if you aren't in them you are out of luck.

We stuck up a conversation with two families as we waited and the other two familes did NOT think the package was worth it. They thought it was just as easy to arrive 2 hrs early and eat dinner in the seats which is what allot of other people did. The kids had toys and they were easier to manage in the open air stadium with a hot dog then in a restaurant. I can see their point. You really only save 1 hour and there isn't much to do at Disney studios in only 1 hr. Most lines were longer than an hour and it was cheaper to get the kids a hot dog. Also, the seats were to the right side (making an exit easier) but at 2hrs earlier there were seats in the center available.

So chose whatever is best for your family.:D

I just booked Fantasmic Package at the Brown Derby for June 10th-6:30pm.
I called this morning. I had already booked a PS for the same time and day 1 month ago. I don't know if this helped me get the Fantasmic time or not? For us this is a good thing-I don't want to wait in line for 2 hours for a seat. We've been to MGM 4 other times and have never been except standing room only, that is awful!

Is anyone else having a hard time waiting for their vacation????? Only a month away and already there in my mind! (very hard to concentrate on anything else)

Hi, I have less than 60 days to go until I am at Walt Disney World!!! Yeah!!! We are staying at the Beach Club Resort and this will be our first time there. I have 3 small children and want to make sure we eat at all the best restaurants and experience all the best shows etc... If anyone has any recommendations on where to eat...maybe the best character breakfast, etc.... that would be great. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You may want to post this as a new thread, instead of as a reply. I'm sure you'll get lots of responses that way. I'm new here too, but there is a lot of good advice floating around.

I've read elsewhere that the present format of the fantasmic dineer pkg may end the end of June (and perhaps retrun to the old system where you could order anyting off the menu of the BD, MM, or HV with reservatioons being accepted only 7 days before the date) - anybody know if this is true - Thanks:confused:

We just got back last night-used the Fantasmic Pkg at the Brown Derby on May 2nd and we ordered anything we wanted off the menu-no restrictions. It was an awesome meal!!.

Hi, How many days in advance could you book the Fantasmic Dinner Package? Also, I noticed that you have stayed at the Beach Club Resort? How do you like it? This is our first time there and we are staying there. It is such a hard decision, but I have 3 little kids and thought they would love the pool area. Thanks!:D

Hi there! We booked our Fantasmic about one month (April 7 for May 2) in advance. We absolutely love the BC. It's our second 11 day stay there. For us it's the pool, Character Breakfast, Yachtsman Steakhouse and location, location, location. Walking distance (5 mins) to Epcot, Boardwalk and about 15 min to MGM. They also have boat service to all 3 locations. Your kids will love it there.

When I tried to book this for late Sept. I was told that the advance PS reservations could only be taken thru the summer (I think until end of June?) and anything after that had to be booked onsite, once we arrive in our hotel. Should I call again?
Thanks,
Pyedog
