Fantasmic dinner package cancellations due to rain...

Has anyone had this happen to them? Were they actually able to get you another place to eat? We called and made our ADR (for 16 people) for June and were told that if it gets cancelled due to rain they will find somewhere else for us to eat. What is the likelihood that they really will be able to do this?

Anyone know??

Are you doing the regular Fantasmic Dinner Pkg. or are you doing a Fantasmic Dessert Reception? If you're doing the regular package, you'll eat where you made your ADR, they give you a voucher for the show. If the show is cancelled due to rain, they don't give you another one.
If you're doing a dessert reception or a dinner, they have a reserved area at the back of the theater with a railing around it where they will set up tables, etc. If the show is canceled, they usually move the event indoors. I have experienced this personally, and while I don't know what the building is called, it is located near Star Tours behind the building with the restrooms there. We ate there (it was barely drizzling rain) and then went to the the special "railed off" section of the theater to watch the show.

We're doing the Mama Melrose Fantasmic Dinner package. When I made the ADR the woman on the phone made it seem like we wouldn't be able to eat at Mama Melrose if the show was cancelled due to weather. Now I'm thoroughly confused.

Yes, you'll still eat there, but if the Fantasmic show (which is held in an outdoor ampitheater) is cancelled due to inclement weather, they will not give you a voucher for a future show. Did that help?

The previous poster is correct. You still eat at the restaurant, but if the show is cancelled there are no refunds/rainchecks/vouchers for another show.

This happened to us this past July, we had our meal at H&V then went to Fantasmic which got rained out. We went to guest relations and were given another Fantasmic priotity seating ticket (we had to tell them which day we would be back at MGM).

We did make it back but got stuck on RnR when it broke down so missed it twice!

Just know if that happens and you have the tickets/availability to come back on another day guest relations can give you the priority seating ticket for another day.

You can eat at the restaurant as scheduled but I think what the cm was trying to say that if you wanted to reschedule for another day they would try to accomadate you so that you do not miss the show!
