Fantasmic Dinner Package and Dining Experience card

Does anyone know if you can use the Disney Dining Experience card with the Fantasmic dinner package. (I know I can call and ask, but was curoius if anyone has used it).

Also, do you find that doing the Fantasmic Dinner package saves time, or adds time because it is a sit down dinner restaurant.

What is the best time for dinner with this package?

DDE wasn't accepted when I was there last summer; the server said that they had already discounted the meal by serving it in as a package and that is why they didn't take DDE.

We were there at 5:30 and the tables were full, but it wasn't overwhelmingly crowded.

I wasn't on a timetable, because we were there way before Fantasmic started, but it is a sit-down meal, so it will take about an hour. I enjoyed spending the time there, it was relaxing and cool and the meal was very good.

Last time I tried to use DDE for Fantasmic or Candlelight, I was told no. I don't think that policy has changed.
