Fantasmic dinner only between 2-5pm?

I called for my ADRs today. Luckily, I was able to get everything I wanted. However, I wanted to eat dinner around 7pm before Fantasmic, then go to the show around 8 (still an hour before it starts.) The CM told me the Fantasmic dinner packages are only offered between 2-5pm. Who eats dinner between 2-5pm? Anyway, I took the 4:05, which was the latest, but will probably change it. Why would they only offer it then?

Because you need to eat and be out a good amount of time before the Fantasmic show. Your pass won't get you into the show when it's totally full, it will just get you into the reserved seating section - assuming you show up at least a half hour before the show. At that time they open up the reserved seating section and start general seating there, so you need to be seated by then to get any benefit out of your seating pass.

They've always booked the Fantasmic dinners very early, especially when the show is presented around 7-8.

Yep. They want you to have plenty of time to eat and not have to rush right over to the show. It really works out well. We usually eat dinner between 4 and 5 anyway. (We call it our nursing home meal! LOL)

I forgot to ask for the Fantasmic Package when I booked the Brown Derby **AARRGGHH** and now it's booked. I"m going to keep trying though!

Which is why the Fantasmic Dinner Package is basically useless. If it wasn't for the fact that CS at DHS is so bad I would recommend you grab a CS meal and take it into Fantasmic to eat while you wait. Save your TS credits for a Signature meal if you are on the Dining Plan.

With the reduced schedule for Fantasmic this year we are seriously considering giving it a pass. Having seen it 7 or 8 times already maybe it just isn't worth the hassle anymore.
