I feel like I'm bugging you guys with all these questions, just trying to figure out ADR's so I can book them all as early as possible.

Is the dinner package worth it in the month of October?
If so, I'm thinking of doing Hollywood & Vine.
I read you need a CC to secure ressies, do they charge your card full price or is this one of the ones who do the $10 per person deal?

As far as the fantasmic pkg's go: I figure out if I would really want to eat at one of the resturants anyway. If yes, proceed. Then figure out the $$$ price of your meal by checking out the menu's. If this is still reasonable, then it is well worth the pkg price. If you really want to see fantasimic and you don't want to worry about the lines, it is well worth it.

FYI: We went last Oct 06' for 2 weeks, and found it very crowded at wdw.
The weather cannot be beat thou.:thumbsup2

Last year we went from the Thursday before Columbus Day to the Saturday after. Our MGM days were after Columbus Day. It was crowded, but not slammed. We did not do the FDP, so we waited at least an hour for the show. It was fine; we'd done everything we wanted to do at that point. We just enjoyed people watching, doing the wave with the crowd, and chatting with those around us while waiting. Now this year, we're doing the land/sea package. We will only have 3 nights at WDW before going on the cruise. That puts us going to MGM on the Saturday of Columbus Day weekend. I expect it to be very crowded and we'll have less time in the parks anyway. So, I've booked the FDP at the Brown Derby. That way I know we'll have a seat and won't have to be at the amphitheatre so early.

It might be worth it if you go around Columbus Day weekend. Otherwise if you'd rather not eat a sit down meal before the show or if you would rather try a non-package restaurant (50's Prime or Sci-fi for example), you could do without the package.

We saw Fantasmic without the package the end of October (Oct 27) last year and we had seats right in the center at 45 minutes before the show. There is no line off season. They open the stadium over an hour before the show. The waiting is you do is if you go in early to get a good seat.

The package seats are to the far right of the stage, but you can still see everything.

They do not charge your CC UNLESS you do not cancel within 48 hours.

H&V is fine for a buffet. We did it several times with the package when our girls were younger.

Have fun!
