Fantasmic Dining Package

Now that they added Fantasmic every night of the week, do you think we still need the dining package in order to get a seat for the show? I don't want to wait in line for over an hour either. Would love to cancel this ADR as my family has so many places they WANT to eat and Mama Melrose is not on that list.

I'm keeping mine at Mama's. We're only spending one day at DHS and I don't want to eat at the two other options that they have there for F! and I don't want to travel off to somewhere else and then come back.

In all honesty, I think it's going to be a crap shoot here at the beginning. Well, I'm at the beginning--our day is July 5th.

You are just like us! We are also staying 2 weeks and originally it was 1 full day at the Studios with 1 Fantasmic evening with dinner. Now I am conflicted. We never did the dining package in the past when Fantasmic was every night. I guess I will wait and see what happens.

I'd keep your pkg ADR. I had a friend go at a time when F! was shown every day and she still had to wait HOURS to ensure the whole family got in and had seats. We did the pkg back in December and were shocked at how much we enjoyed Mama Melrose. It was a very slow moving meal, but the food we ordered was excellent. We've eaten at 50s Primetime and Brown Derby in DHS, and while I know the Brown Derby has vastly improved with the new chef...the meal at Mama Melrose topped our experiences with the other two. We haven't touched Sci Fi and Hollywood & Vine b/c of the negative reviews. So, I'd keep it.

I think the F! package is definitely worth it, especially at Mama Melrose. This is one of our must do restaurants every time we go.

Plus, if you are on the DDP then you will get 3 courses for your credit; and even if not on the DDP it is $32.99, and you can save money if you were to order the more expensive items.

We loved turning up about 30 mins before the show, and going up the seperate entrance without all the crowd. Plus we managed to leave this way as well and beat all the crowds to the buses.

Thanks for your opinions guys. I guess I will hold onto it. I had no idea the food at Mama Melrose would be good. I just thought it was a better option than the buffet at Hollywood and Vine.

Our family did F! pk at Mama Melrose last Sept and though the service and food were excellent. I don't think our family will wait an hour to watch the show so that was a good way to enjoy the show without much wait.

We are booked again for this Sept and I am holding onto it unless they release F! pk for other dates.

I also booked the Fantasmic package for this September, eating at Mama Melrose's. Everytime my husband and I go we never seem to make it to the Fantasmic show so we'll see how it is!

when we were there Fantasmic was shown five nights with two shows per night. We did the Fantasmic package. We got in line about 45 minutes ahead of time. When we arrived in the stadium, one section of the non reserved area was not full yet but people were still streaming in. The reserved section was only partially full.

We will be there then as well. We have a Fantasmic dinner package at HBD. I wouldn't even consider cancelling it. I hate the thought of standing in line to see the show. We will be at the park one day too and don't want to waste our time standing in line waiting. It's one of our favorites. Don't want to miss it!
