Fantasmic Dining Package Question

Last time I went to Disney, 3 years ago, I did the Hollywood and Vine Fantasmic Dinning Package. We had the DDP so money wasn't much of an issue. This summer, I am going with a friend. I was thinking of trying the MM with the F! P, however we don't have the DDP. Is there a difference in money from lunch and dinner? Is it the same price? When I look online at future dates, it ends at 4:00. Do they not have dinner options. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

:thanks:

It's the same price no matter when you eat. The reason they don't have options past 4:00 is you need to finish eating in time to get to the show. F! in the summer is usually around 9:00, so they may open some later options when you get to your 180 window.

I can't speak for MM, but H &V has made some changes that started a few weeks ago. Dinner is now a character buffet meal and with Fantastmic it's named Minnie's Seasonal "Dine at Hollywood & Vine Dinner Fantasmic." Minnie, Mickey, Goofy, Donald Duck and Daisy Duck are there. Each three month period has a different theme. As for reservations during the summer, they can be made after 4. I just booked it today for June 6th with an ADR for 4:45 pm.

May I jump in and ask a question? I just made an ADR for MM F pkg. We have never done this before, are there in restrictions on what you can order from the menu if you have the pkg. deal. For instance can you order the $12 app.? and I assume it includes your (non- alcoholic) beverage too right? Ha ha, goofy 4prez, our ADR is June 6 @ 3:50 :D

The appetizer and regular beverage are included in the package. Order any appetizer and entree you want. Dessert is a sampler platter sized to the number in your party. They used to have an appetizer for 2 which required 2 people on the package to order it, but that's gone now.

Interesting... I wonder what the summer theme will be...beach maybe? Were you able to get the 4:45 online or call? Just curious

What food comes with the package for Mm?

You are correct, the summer theme will be beach attire. As for getting the ADR, I was able to get it online without any problems. As for the food, Disney only has the holiday menu posted online, but I'm sure it will be your typical average to below average institutional buffet quality offerings; can we say Golden Corral quality? If it wasn't for the fact 4 out of the 8 in our party have never been to WDW, I wouldn't even consider it; and even with that I may still cancel it. I'm just not a big fan of lunch/dinner buffets. I'd rather spend my $55 on a well prepared meal at one of the signatures than a buffet.

Here's a little info on it from WDW

I understand with half your group having not been to WDW before maybe wanting to squeeze in a character meal, but any thought on doing the F! package at HBD? It's only $10 more per person than H&V and you'll get the Signature quality you prefer. My wife and I decided to book an F! package there because we also prefer quality over quantity.

Funny you should say that, I was just saying the same thing to my wife yesterday. HBD is certainly on the radar. I'm just not very excited about spending $55 for a Golden Corral dinner with Disney characters.
