Fantasmic Dining Package Problems

I was there on May 7th too. We went in to Fantasmic at 7:30 and did the standing room only. I was surprised it was so full already. We got to the park around 4PM and didn't notice anything we wanted to do was closed. We did TOT and got fast passes for RnRC (for after 8:30), did Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Star Tours, and Muppet movie before heading over to Fantasmic.

The last Beauty and the Beast was 5:45, Indiana Jones 5:30, Lights, Motors, etc 4:30. Walt Disney closed at 4:00, Backlot Tour and playground 5:00. We went back another morning to do TSM, RnRC, TOT again, and Indiana Jones

We were there the same day as well. We didn't get there till after 4 and we rode all the major rides. Most of the stunt shows were closed, though. We saw the late Fantasmic show.

The seats you get for the FDP are not very good either. The best dining package seats are basically the worst regular seating. All the way over to the right hand side, and some are so far to the right that you can see backstage, and the music gets to you before the visuals - so doesn't sync with the action in some scenes

You do have a pretty good opportunity to find a seat centered with the projection water "screens". In that respect, not as bad as it could be. And if your objective is to be one of the first out, that's another plus.

I agree WendyisDarling that IF you decide to give up your ADR, there are many on the Restaurant board who would LOVE to have it. I might!!:lmao: Actually, I had one day 8-25 that I tried to get MM for a F! package and couldn't, was booked already. I tried once or twice to call back but I eventually decided that since I was happy with other ADR's to leave it be.

I plan on bringing some crayons, a coloring book to kkep the kids happy in line and then getting a snack inside and eting it while we wait on the show to start.

I actually wouldn't mind skipping it but DD's are adamant that we do F!, so I'm just going to deal with the fact that we'll be waiting. :headache:

Yes, if we do decide to forfeit it I will do that. FWIW our ADR is Aug. 2nd. It will be a few days before I can even talk to DH and I am going to mull it over a bit.
