Fantasmic Dining Package -- early?

It shows that Fantasmic is at 6:30 the nights we are at WDW. Does that if we have the dining package we have to eat really early to get our priority seating tickets and get there at least 30 minutes before?

All of the Fatasmic dining is set early anyway-which is why I chose to not take an ADR I could have gotten for our last trip. We would have had to dine at 4, with Fantasmic at 8:30!
