Fantasmic! Dining Package changes

They told me that since Fantasmic is at 6:30 they are only doing lunches for the package, which means no H&V since dinner was their only part of the package. I guess since the park closes at 8 then (generally) and the show is at 6:30 you wouldn't really have time for "dinner" unless it was less then an hour at 5 o'clock.

Hmmmm is this a new time for Fantasmic? We went twice last year to the H&V F! package for dinner with no issues although I can not remember what time F! was. So I wonder if this is a new time for Fantasmic which is creating the issue or if this is just a story being told for now?

I find this funny. I had the same problems 2 weeks ago and ended up not booking because sci fi diner and 50's prime time was more important to me for lunch. I wanted diner and just took it all the reservations had been booked by the time I got online which was straight 10 minutes after. Does anyone know what the changes are?

What is the price range for the packages I booked Hollywood and Vine for the 19th of August and 5:20 was the lasted y could get

So glad you posted this. We have ressies for Oct 12th. Nothing was available at any times for H&V. They had 3:30 times for HBD and MM, but nothing later. Now I will keep checking to see what is up.

Quick question - would you rather eat at HBD or MM with fantasmic package paying OOP?

We have not eaten at BD but DH really wanted to until he read the menu and opted not. We have eaten at MM numerous times and the only problem that we had was being seated up front where it is much louder than toward the back. While it is entertaining, it makes conversation difficult. The food we found to be quite delish!:thumbsup2 Hope that helps.

We have never gone with the F!package because we have never been there when there wasn't room. We don't care if we sit up in the back (not a fan of wet) and you get out faster. If there are two shows, we wait for the second so the parents with young children can have the earlier one and we have more time to do the park. I just never thought the seats for F! package were that much better.:confused3

This explains why I haven't been able to make a Fantasmic! reservation for November 21. I hope they get it figured out soon. I have reservations at 50's Prime Time Cafe for an early dinner.

I was listening to a podcast the other day and they said there was a short trial run for the Taste of Hollywood To Go. You can pick up a box lunch from late morning to early evening and it includes the reserved seating. Wondering if they will be bringing that back?

I hope this isn't true. The last thing the parks need is another character dinner I have to figure out how to avoid. (lol)

We booked ours a few nights ago and the only option was lunch at all the restaurants, so we booked it as late as we could for 3:10. We were on the phone with someone too, not just online. We also tried to book the processional for the first week of December and they still had not opened it up yet.

I agree with the previous poster. Having done the F package a number of times I don't really see any advantage to it. I have gotten the same seats just walking in as I did with the package. They used to allow you to go in the back way but they stopped that as well. I also feel the food at H&V isn't anything special as well But I have been told that MM was delish.
