Fantasmic Dining My Way

Can you use your Dining My Way package to eat at say Mama Melrose's with the Fantasmic Dining Package???????

When you made reservations for fantasmic did you tell them you were on the dining plane or did you wait untill you were at the restaruant.

i didn't tell them till i got there- then i just told the server as we were ready to pay for our check.

I thought you had to secure the Fantasmic Dinner Package with a credit card. If you do this, then how can you tell them you're on the dining plan when the server brings the bill? Don't you already have this charged to your credit card account?

I'm all confused now. Should I just book the Fantasmic DP and see if they take my MYW Dining when it's time to pay OR should I tell them up front I'm using MYW Dining and hope the server brings me the voucher?

they don't charge your card - you pay at the restaurant-

i would just book it and then when it comes time to pay, tell the server you're on the dining plan - worst that can happen is they say you can't use the dining plan and then you pay out of pocket. i can tell you our server (and many others from following this on these boards) did not blink an eye- took the plan and gave us the voucher- again, no questions, hesitation nothing

Great idea -- I think I will just book it and try to us the MYW Dining Plan to pay and if I'm not able to, I'll just pay out of pocket. I won't make a stink or anything. I'll go into it knowing I may or may not be able to use it and if I can GREAT, if not, no biggie.

Which restaurant do you recommend? I know that Brown Derby will make the best use of our Dining Plan, but If I have to pay out of pocket, I don't want to have to pay through my teeth, you know.

it's been a month and my brain went blank- but i believe brown derby is a double credit- i'd check that out first--

we had a great meal at mama melrose - really enjoyed it. haven't tried hollwood and vine
