I booked the dessert package for my son and I in hopes of getting a better view of Fantasmic. The phone rep said that we can show up at 8pm for seating but no sooner - the show is at 9pm.

Is that the case? Or can we hang out a little earlier in hopes of getting a better viewing seat for my son?

PS - Anyone know when City Hall closes? We have to pick up the tickets before it closes. Can't believe we will see this show in 10 days!

I read through most of that thread but missed the part on seating assignment. Thanks! I just have to ensure my son goes to the washroom before we start lining up :)

After you choose your seat, you are free to wander for a bit before the show. The seat will be waiting for you. I wouldn't wait too long before sitting though since the area becomes quite congested right before the show.

Have a wonderful time!

The time of the year dictates when you should start lining up for the 1st show and if you want front row.

Again, just following up with my post in case new people are interested in the dessert package.

We got there around 8pm and got our seats assigned. The front rows were all taken but many seats in the second row were available. I decided to take the back row as we could move the chairs a little - but the CM told us the chairs were positioned strategically to see the entire show. There are these short pillars that could block some of your view. You can still 99% of the show from the back row. My son stood up on his chair as planned.

After the seat assignment, we were asked to come back any time after 8:30pm so we went walking for 15 minutes.

I would say come earlier if you want front row views but I think the views are fine from other rows but that's just my opinion. If you have small children, front row might be better but again, they can stand on their chair at the back or at least catch most of the action in the sky.

PS - They told me City Hall closes when the park closes.

does the whole party have to line up to get the seat assignment? or can one person go to get seats for the whole party? i will b going with my DH, DS1 and DD4. it would be much easier if either myself or DH go get seats while the other person walk around with the little ones. Thanks!!

Only 1, but they need all the tickets.

Just booked our seats for June 28th! So excited....though it is costly, it is so much fun to have the special seating and desserts :cheer2:

Thank you, I was going to ask this, too!

How are the seats "saved" once they are assigned? Do they have a piece of paper or something? Once the family member with all the tickets checks in and is assigned seats, that person can leave until 15 or 20 minutes before the show, too, right?

We will be arriving early afternoon on June 20, when we have the F! dessert package. We will have vouchers for our military salute tickets, so we will exchange those for park passes at the turnstile. Where exactly do we get the F! tickets?

Thanks for your help!

The CMs make notes of your seat choices on a diagram.

It is my understanding that they are picked up at Guest Services, and now that I am thinking about it I think the CM that I booked with may have said City Hall, as well. They may be picked up any day or time before your booked performance.

You can pick up the tickets from any ticket window in the esplanade, Guest Services, City Hall, or a resort hotel front desk if you are staying there. You can pick them up any time, not just day of show.

Once someone in your party checks in with ALL of the tickets in hand starting at 8pm day of your showing, you select your seats on a seating chart, they cross those off the chart and write the seat numbers on your tickets.

Once the seating area has opened up for that show, you are free to come and go as much as you please any time from the reserved section.

Have fun!

Thank you so much, (and to HydroGuy and TinkFreak, too!) this is perfect info! We will be checking in at the GCH before arriving at the park in the early afternoon of our first day, which is also the day we have our F! dessert package. So we will get those tickets then.

And it's good to know that I can send my DD and DH off to ride another ride while I go check in at the reserved seating area.

Three weeks from tomorrow - so excited!

Called today and booked it for June 27th. CM told me to be there at 7 to 7:15 for check in for the 9 o'clock show.
I am hoping that we can pick our seats and then walk around a bit. That is just too long to sit and wait for me.
Can't wait!:smickey:
