Fantasmic Dessert Seating

Now there are three sections to the premium seating for the dessert buffet. Facing the island. The area to the left (by the light pole) is A, the middle area is B, and the area by the Haunted Mansion, that many of us know is C. I was there a couple of weeks ago (6/14), and we were in the front row, B section. It was great.

What happens if you've bought priority seating and fantasmic gets cancelled at the last minute?

What time do you think you should line up to book the seats, how early are you allowed to start?

Wow...it's changed alot since we did this. We were riverside, but there was only one section..in front of Pirates I think. We had the buffet, and although the boxes look good I don't see any of the chocolate covered strawberries that we had in the buffet. Also, they had these delightful shortcake things with I think raspberry in the middle.
So..do you have to ask for what section you want when you book or is it a random thing?

You choose which seats you get (and which section you are in) when you go the Podium at 8:00 to check in.

I also miss the chocolate covered strawberries - I was disappointed that our box didn't have any of those!

What order do you recommend as far as seating:
First choice: Front Row Section B
Second Choice:
Third Choice:
Best Choice at the last minute:

Thanks for all the help. We are going on July 12 with 6 of us ages 4,10, 13 and 3 adults one a full time wheelchair user.

How many seats are there? How many rows of seats (how many heads will block my view)? Can I reserve 30, or 60, days in advance? Do I need to call that day to reserve? Can I cancel the reservation and not be charged?

We're only gonna have two days in DL - prob only one with fantasmic. It's my fave show and my friend has never seen it. Would you say 'go for it' as far as booking the package? f so, when should we line up for booking in. If not, where and when should we find a seating spot. There's only the two of us. Thanks.

You can reserve a month out. You pay for it when you call and they charge your C.Card right then. You can cancel - but you will forfeit your money. The tickets are not transferable and non-refundable. Sorry, can't help with the number of seats, but I think that was sort of answered in a previous post.

I hope to do this for our trip in August. Since I haven't been to DL in more than 20 years, I don't know anything about the areas you listed. Are there really seats that are so much better than the others for premium seating? Or could DH and I show up at the last minute and be happy with our seats?

Do they do the desserts for both the early and late Fantasmic shows? I'd like dinner at 6:30 for example and then do the 10 pm Fantasmic with the dessert/special seating.

In my opinion, the Premium Seats aren't so much "better" as they are reserved and save you from having to deal with finding / camping out for a spot amongst the crowds. Also, you get a chair. (The dessert box and drinks are nice, but you were asking about the seats.)

To answer your other question, yes, they do the dessert box and drinks for both shows. You could have dinner and go to the 10:30pm show, (There is a 9pm and a 10:30pm.)

For the record, we usually go about an hour before and swoop in for seats in the front center seating area and watch from there amongst the crowd. We love it.

Thanks for the info! I think I'll try to reserve seats for one of the 10:30 shows when we are there.

I had never considered the back row until ScooterL mentioned it. Interesting, I kind of like the fact you have the option to stand up and look over those in front without being bumped constantly. We're taking small ones so they could probably see better standing and it would not be in anyone's way. Thoughts anyone?

We had second row and the people in front had big ol' heads so I couldn't see very well. We sat until the show started then went and stood behind all the chairs in the back of the section and it was fine. (the people outside the area were on a higher tier so we didn't block them).
Maybe I'm just old, but the chair makes it all worth it. In non busy times, maybe not, but we're going over Labor Day so I'd much rather have a place to sit and be away from the masses...

I just do not sit well on the ground well and hate to waste what time I have there waiting 3 hours for a good spot(August).
