Ok... its been a year since I've been to DLR, and need some refreshing on windows of reservations...

We are wanting to book the Fantasmic Dessert package. I can't really get definitive information online, or in terms I understand. Disney's website says that this can be booked "up to 30 days prior to your visit". Does that mean that when my countdown is 30 days, I can book? Or I can book until 30 day mark? I am probably making this more difficult than it really is, but the wording is confusing to me.

Also, with the WoC dining, is it the same 30 day window, or is it 60, as with any other dining reservation at DLR?

Sorry if this is a REAL stupid question, but I just can't seem to figure it out! Ever have one of those days?

You can book the Fantasmic Dessert package starting 30 days before your trip. With the WOC dining you can book starting 60 days before your trip.

Have fun! :goodvibes

That means you can book it as early as 30 days prior to your trip, but not before. For WOC dining it's 60 days.

30 days is the earliest you can book! ;)

As for WOC, it depends. The dining package at Ariel's Grotto or Wine Country Trattoria is 60 days, and the picnic meals are 30 days.

Thanks everyone! I figured that's what it meant, but I just wanted to make sure! That means I have enough time to figure out which WoC dinner I want! Last year at Ariel's Grotto was pretty much awesome!

Even though the dessert seating at Fantasmic is expensive, I am just not wanting to wait and stand (and stand and wait) for Fantasmic. I don't want to fight crowds either. We did it last year, as my mom was in the middle of the chemo that would make her joints hurt. We decided we will do it each time.

I appreciate the help!

A couple things to be even more clear... :teacher:

1. F! dessert and WOC are not 30 or 60 days "before your trip". They are 30 or 60 days before the day you want the reservation.

2. Not sure why Disney does this but the so-called 30 and 60 days are really one month and two months.

:wizard:

With my experience w/ Disney, I knew it was before the day you want, not when you arrive, but I quoted it because that is what is on Disney's website.

The Dobies do the Fantasmic Dessert thing, because it makes us happy and it is our one big splurge...we don't do the character meal thing and we don't buy many souveniers.

If the schedule for these shows isn't up yet, and it's within the 30 or 60 day mark, can you still book? I want to do WOC but I don't see it on the park schedule for the first few days of September yet so I don't know what day to book it for (as an example).

Yes, but sometimes the people taking the reservations hedge if there are changes coming. For WOC I doubt that is the case.

Awesome! That's great to hear. How would I know what times and dates I can book though if the WoC schedule isn't up? I guess I'm worried I'd end up booking a nice dinner without the WoC package unless I know for sure the date and time that I need to select to get that package. Paranoid, I know.

Just ask the CM who answers the phone what you can book. They do this all the time and will help you.
