Fantasmic dessert question

Perhaps you'd like to try the light tower trick *~*~*

We've done that several times *always for the 2nd show* and have always been successful :cool1:

DD & I did the F! dessert seating last year, it was nice but pricey. The choosing your seat option is kinda annoying especially for for us last year - 1 adult and a barely 7 year old.... luckily a nice man held my place while we rode Thunder Mtn - several times, Haunted Mansion & Splash *used FPs on Thunder & Splash - I just checked in with him every once in a while and then stayed there as we got closer to selection time.

They don't at the dessert seating, but we went to one of the shops in NOS and we were holding our trays. The CM looks at us and without us saying a thing, handed us a bag with a smile. I am assuming that happens a lot! :)

One thing that might happen, is that when you carry the tray on its side, some of the contents will shift and might get a little smushed. It doesn't affect the flavor, but it doesn't look as pretty as it did when you first got it. So I would recommend eating all the things that have frosting, etc. And then saving the cheese, crackers, etc. since they will be less likely to be damaged.

I couldn't believe how much food they gave us, we couldn't even eat it all on our trip and took some home. Crazy! :scared1:

Thanks, Owl!
My husband and son are these strange creatures from another planet that don't really like sweets......so I anticipate having a lot of snacks leftover for the rest of the week! Maybe I'll bring some tupperware. :lmao:

ok now I am confussed...tickets? You just mean our dinsey admission tickets right. All I have from purchasing the fantasmic via the phone is a confirmation #.

Yes, you will need to pick up a separate "ticket" for the Fantasmic Premium Viewing. Like a PP mentioned if you're staying on-site they should have them for you at check-in otherwise pick them up at Guest Services. Here's what mine looked like last September (below my Park Hopper):

Has anyone posted a photo of the dessert boxes themselves in this thread? I can't remember. I didn't get one with the lid off (will remember that next time) but here's a photo of mine from last September:

Don't forget you also get beverages!!

Thanks for the photo Belle Ella - it does look like quite a bit of food.

I am still debating if we should do it or not, $59 is quite steep but since Blue Bayou will be closed when we go the $ I had set aside for that meal we can use towards the F! seats. Did that sound reasonable? It is what I am planning on telling DH :rolleyes1

I know I always like a visual aid if there's one available! It's probably why I photograph as much as I do in the Parks.

It can get costly, yes, especially with a family. My opinions are always a little skewered since I'm usually a solo traveller or with friends who pay for themselves. But I absolutely loved this option (even as someone who actually enjoys camping out along the water for a good spot for my tripod and camera) - especially having an actual chair to sit in, a hot drink, a great view, and some delicious treats that lasted me the rest of the trip for a yummy dessert before bed. For me, it was money well spent!

But hey, like you said, BB is closed and if you were setting aside money for that I'd say go for it ;)

ugh! Nope the cast member I talked to when I bought the tickets never told me. I will call them now.

I really shouldn't read these threads. I now have a strong desire to eat something sugar-laden!

does anyone know if they can make any changes to the dessert for people with dietary issues. I am gluten free due to medical issues. I asked the rep when I made the reservations and they said they had no way to note it on the reservations? thanks

You need to call the number and ask the CM, the only problem I see is getting things mixed up.

My family did the dessert seating about 5yrs ago. I really think it is worth it for a one time splurge. It was so nice just to get off your feet for awhile. I wish the dessert selection was more kid friendly I thought it was kind of fancy desserts. I would definitely get there early to get a seat closer to the front, after paying that much money I would want the best view possible. After the show we just stayed in our seats, ordered hot chocolate and watched the Fireworks. Awesome! So yes, I think it is worth it at least once. :)
