First thing to note is that it is not a dessert "party" at all.

Arrows indicate the center of the seating.
Shaded areas:
Cyan= Standby (walk-in) seating
Red= Dining Package Reserved
Blue= FP+ Reserved
Purple= Can be either FP+ or Dining Plan Reserved, depending on needs.

My family and I have been offered VIP viewing of Fantasmic! as part of some Service Recovery that Disney offered. Is this just seating in the RED area or another location? We have been told just to turn up at least 30 minutes before the show starts at the main entrance.

They can decide to do anything at any time.
But, I'd assume the "VIP" area would be in the center section.

Another question about the dessert party--are the seats that much better than if I had a FPP and just showed up 30 min before the show? Also, how late could I wander in IF i am doing the dessert package?
