Fantasmic/Candlelight Processional Dining Packages

Talk to me about booking the dining packages for Fantasmic and Candlelight Processional. I am looking at booking each of these for our trip. Are they worth it? I think I've seen that you can't use dining discounts when you book a dining package, is this the case? Do I book this when I book my ADRs or is it different? Thanks!

Never booked Fantasmic but for CP it is usually released the end of June or beginning of July and you can’t book that restaurant for a regular ADR at 180 days and then convert to the package when it comes out.

I have done both, although it's been a while since I did the Fantasmic package. I would say they were both worth it, the Candlelight Processional more so though. The CP standby line was very long, and we were able to bypass it all and get really wonderful seats. We aimed for a later showing so that it would be dark out. Truly a beautiful show and I think anyone would appreciate the beauty of the music and carols. Fantasmic was also worth it as we had really great seats. If you can only do one my personal choice would be CP. As for booking I think for Fantasmic I booked it at 180 but for Candlelight Processional I had to wait until it was announced. We had Ana Gasteyer as a narrator and she was lovely!

We've had ana twice as well. Really did a good job. Did not know who she was before finding out for the first time. Last year got really lucky and had Wyatt Earp and he was great. Can't wait to find out about this year. Must do for the dining package though. Wish they'd have assigned seats with those who booked first getting pick of seats. Don't like waiting an hour before the show, listening to the prior show to end. I could be spending money Disney.
