Hi all,
I am having my first visit to Disneyland on January 7-10 next year. The Blue Bayou has always been something tha I've wanted to try, but it's very expensive as you all know. Do you think it is worth it to get the F! dining package there? Also will it be awkward or weird for me to eat alone there? (I'm not worried about doing rides and other stuff alone, but going to a sit down restaurant seems different to me.) Thanks for the help!

We loved the BB F! Package! The food was awesome, probably our favorite meal on the trip, and the F! Seating area was great, too. We did it on the Friday of Labor Day Weekend and it was less crowded than I thought. We could have picked a railing spot, but choose to lean against some trash cans further back. (Only at Disneyland, right?!)

If you're talking about Jan. 2016, the 7-10 th will likely be very busy for the dining packages since F! Is set to go on hiatus for a while after the 10th due to the Rivers Of America being altered for Star Wars Land.

I wouldn't feel too awkward going solo, but your experience will definitely depend on your server. Hope you get a winner and enjoy the show!!

P.s.- there were lots of two person tables, but most of the waterside tables were for larger parties. However, we saw the Pirates boats and atmosphere perfectly from the second row at a small two person table!

If you decide to go, don't worry about eating by yourself. It's only hard the first time, and it can actually be enjoyable.

We also loved it. Our meal and service were great. It was super busy when we were there and our Saturday the 24th showing was the first in 10 years so the show itself was packed. Sooo glad we were able to walk into the great viewing location. I would love to eat there alone- such a great ambiance.

I too was planning a solo trip to the land next year! It would have been my third trip but first ever official 'solo' trip (I still did a lot on my own the first two as I am an early riser and would spend a good 3+ hours or so at the park on my own first thing in the morning, which I thoroughly recommend by the way!! )

In terms of eating on your own I absolutely wouldn't worry about it. You can eat as much dessert as you like and no one will judge, bonus!! haha!

As much as I think it's cool to have someone there to share the experience with I found that when on my own I could take the time to really notice the little details, especially when waiting in lines and for parades/shows.

I hope you have an awesome trip!!

This would be a great restaurant for eating solo, because there is so much detail and atmosphere to take in. You won't be bored.

I just did this Friday night solo. I was planning on being in town for a family event, and arrived a few days early for the holiday decorations, Season of the Force and the stuff that would be closed by the time I came back for SW run weekend...most importantly, F!
I wanted to do BB in order to sit, and have the cushion. I arrived 30 minutes early for a waterside table. I was seated in about 10 minutes after I arrived. I enjoyed my time there, and the service was great. I know it can be awkward to dine alone, but I didn't let it bother me. The experience was something I wanted to do.
The seating for F! was great. Arrived at 8:30 and was able to secure a rail seat.
