Fantasmic being rehabbed?

We'll be in DL June 10-12, but I just read a post mentioning June 15 as opening night for Fantasmic. Is Fantasmic being rehabbed and not reopening until June 15? Please say no, we've never seen it (in DL at least, we've seen the one in WDW). Thanks in advance!

I am tempted to say "no" to make you feel better, but the answer is "yes". Fantasmic at DL takes place on Tom Sawyer Island, which is in refurb due to the addition of Pirate's Lair on TSI. This means they had to take Fantasmic down. Pirate's lair is supposed to open May 24, and Fantasmic will re-open a few weeks later on June 15 according to all reports out there.

It is a shame you will miss it. I and most others think Fantasmic at DL is quite a bit better than the one at WDW.

F! utilizes Tom Sawyers Island. TSI, is currently be refurbed. Because of that, F! is not currently showing. They arent really doing anything (that I know of) to F!, just the insland. It is slightly possible that it could open a couple days early and you could catch it, but I wouldnt count on it.

June 15th is the official "out of rehab" date. maybe add some more stuff to it? no idea.

Possibly. I heard a wild rumor somewhere about POTC movie elements being added into it. I hope that is not true.
