I'm thinking of doing the Fantasmic BB dinner package, but I still want the option of waiting for a waterside table. Has anyone done this?

When I did it, we were given a waterside table. My friend made the reservation, so I do not know if she requested it. The package is totally worth it. You get an amazing spot to view the show from.

Yup, it's exactly like dining there regularly, except for you get the 3 course menu instead of the a la carte menu (and the entrees are the same between them).

Apparently I waited too long to make reservations for our trip on 2/7 (bad mommy). We are a party of 5. I ended up booking a table for 4 @ 4:20 and 1 @ 4:30. This is a birthday wish for 2 of my girls who will be turning 17, so if I have to eat by myself, that’s OK. But.... what do you think my chances are of eating with my 4 girls once we arrive???

I would say they will do their very best to try and accommodate you.

You can try calling disney dining now to change the people or if they cannot for any reason definitely stop by BB asap during your trip so you can amend it. We have had to do so and have been accommodated in the past. It may involve a longer wait but 4 to 5 people typically isn't too difficult if they are able to.

We had a reservation there for the first night of the new F! seating. Our reservation was for 4pm, we asked how long the wait would be for a waterside table, and they said it would be close to two hours that evening. We ended up being seated one over from the water though, so not bad at all! We were also a group of 7, so that might have had something to do with it too!

We did this last Sunday, 1/18. Our reservation was at 5:10 p.m. Checked in at 4:57 p.m. and asked for a table by the water. They said it was a 30-45 minute wait, which was fine. Buzzer went off 45 minutes later. I intentionally booked the reservation a little early to accommodate a wait for the table.

Wonderful--this is just what I wanted to know. I just booked F! BB package. Do you think I should/or can call and ask to have waterside dining on the reservation? or is it still only handled by request when I check in? I'm looking forward to it!

Waterside requests are always done the day of reservation in my experience dining there when you check in just be prepared for it to extend the wait is all.

DH and I purposely book the earliest seating for this reason as much as possible.
